Chapter 6: World of the Gods

***Nada***

Damnit! Why does the Goddess have to interfere at the wrong time? A few more moments and Rias would have been under my complete control. She'd fight for us no matter what! No matter who she loved or who she had friended, once her Chaos powers were completely unsealed, she would have fought with her family to create the new world.

"Would she though, Corrupted One?" The Goddess is back and looking for a fight, "Her heart is good. Thanks to the people she grew up with, her heart, once full of madness and destruction, slowly filled with happiness and the feeling to save everyone around her. If you think you know Rias, you're horribly wrong."

"A dying God has to correct me?" I chuckle, "Your attempt to dissuade me is laughable. Once her eyes were opened to our wonderful world, she would have reverted to her old self. You were with her when her powers destroyed an entire village, were you not? You progressed her aging to that of a human until she was able to fight for YOU! You care nothing but your own survival! We just want our family back together and you're keeping that from happening!"

"Your words are nothing but lies." Blue lightning arcs across the sky as a barrier forms in the sky. The Goddess is finally going to show herself. Good, I can kill her now and absorb her powers. It's a little shake up in the plan, but I'll grow more powerful nonetheless. Roaring fills the air forcing all soldiers from both sides to stop fighting. They all look up at the spell taking place. The barrier shatters, showering the land in white shards, burning and killing the demons and revitalizing the Elves and Dwarves. A massive white and blue dragon descends from the clouds.

"Six hundred years ago, you fought my father and it was the first time the world was graced with your presence." I bare my front fangs, "This must be a special occasion!" Massive black wings sprout from my back and I lift myself into the air while transforming into my Chaos Dragon form. The real battle finally begins! I fly towards the Goddess for our final showdown...

***Rias***

I've got all the time in the world to figure out what I want to do. In this timeless, ageless dimension, my Chaos powers were stalled. I only hope that I can make the right decision. A part of me wants to go back home, my real home. I don't know my Father and Nada. Even though Nada is corrupted, I think I could save her. The other part of me, wants to go back home, lead the Elves and Dwarves into battle against the Chaos Army.

What the Goddess did to me was unforgivable, but I don't hate her for doing it. I hate her for keeping it all a secret from me. If I knew who I was and why she was doing what she was doing, I would've understood. Maybe, she didn't trust me. I come across as a strong-willed warrior, but deep down, I've no remorse for those I've fought...for those I've killed. Maybe that's the Chaos side of me.

I've never been a magic user before, despite learning simple spells for survival. I would always rely on my basic instincts when camping out in the wilderness. With some of my powers awakening, I wonder what magic I can perform. My foot bangs against the stained Artenagon as I was standing up. The sword looks pitiful with its golden sheen completely dulled by the demon blood. More cracks are showing despite taking good care of the blade. The sword was said to never break. Maybe this is the last and final war and its use is reaching its end.

I take a deep breath and try to summon water out of nothing. I'm hoping the spell will work long enough for me to clean the legendary sword. After straining, I manage to open a small magic circle with a small waterfall dribbling onto the cavern floor. Even that small of a spell was almost torture to me. Most of my being wanted to open up a torrent of water and flood my enemies. I place my hand on my chest, hoping the pain would go away. The more I keep these powers restrained, the more pain I'll witness.

I pull the cleaning rag from inside the sheathe and begin cleaning the golden sword. The golden sheen finally shone in the firelight after a few minutes of hard scrubbing. To think that all this time, it wasn't the sword that healed me, nor was it the energy in it, but my own Chaotic powers was what kept me alive. I trace my fingers down the engravings. Each one tells a story of how the heroes of the past wielded the blade. As my story unfolds and comes to an end, the sword is already adding onto itself.

I'm itching to get back into the fight. I only wonder if I can leave here. I never knew that there were different dimension nor did I know about any other God. The Goddess has always been in my life up to this point. The Ice Crystal isn't humming with power anymore. I'm here; I'm alone. The world that needs me is helpless if I can't get back! I won't be reduced to that monstrous little girl again!

The dimension trembles with my anger. It's resonating with my feelings. I wonder if anyone, or anything, is here with me. This can't be the Goddess' world as she resides in mine. Someone has to be in charge of this world.

"Right you are!" A thunderous boom makes me cover my ears, "For one so young, you are very keen." The voice waits a moment before talking again, "Now that I've looked at you, you aren't very young. Welcome to the dimension between dimensions. It has no name and only a few know of it."

"Who are you? Please show yourself!" I scream into the empty void. Golden leaves swirl before me as a small man with glasses forms out of the leaves. His short black hair receding with age and his clothes torn from use.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Deriose, the God of Foresight." He gives a toothy smile as he walks forward with his hand outstretched.

I reach out to shake it, "I'm-"

"Miss Rias Stormblade, better known as Relaria, the twin daughter of Kazle." He smiles as we shake hands, "I know of you, but I never believed I'd ever get to meet you."

"So, you can see the future?" I ask sitting next to the fire.

"Very much so." Deriose situates himself on a flat rock, "Your future is the only one I couldn't predict. The Goddess tried very hard to change your fate, but the only one who can change your fate, is you. No one else defines who you are. Try as they might, but you are you."

"How am I to leave here and get back to the fight." I give him a determined look, "I want to fight for the sake of people and put a stop to my sister and Father."

"That's not up to me." He cackles, "In all my past lives, I've never met someone as headstrong as you. You're wise for your age and you already know how to leave here."

"If I push myself, I could endanger not only myself, but the friends I've made." I stare at the ground, "If I defeat my Father and sister, will I have to ascend to the Chaos Throne? I don't want to! I refuse to become something I'm not!"

"Calm down girl." He knocks my head with a wooden stick he uses to walk around, "Weren't you listening to me? Only you can define your future. I've seen multiple futures with you in it and only two are possible. No matter what, you're going to use your Chaos powers to leave here. If you want the spell, here." He hands me an aged piece of paper with the inscriptions for the spell. I don't know the language, but I'll decipher it. I have to! "The language of the Gods' is difficult to master, but I believe in you."

"Why is this world like this?"

"Why, to see as far into the future as I can. I can't be bothered with a world that is full. The less distractions the better!" He laughs out loud, "Now, it's tea time and I have a meeting with the other Gods. Good luck, Relaria."

He disappears with the golden leaves blowing towards me. I look down at the paper and get to work. I don't have much time! I must get back home!

***Ris***

The ground shakes as the fight above causes explosions like no other to shake the world. The Goddess appeared after Rias disappeared and it's only a matter of time before the next attack. Even if the Goddess healed us and restored our energy, we've only a hundred able bodied warriors for the next fight.

The ground shakes once more as a beam of Chaos slices the land in half. The explosion that followed, knocks us to the ground. At least the Chaos army can't easily cross the chasm. We can use that to our advantage. It's been six hundred years since the Goddess had appeared in our world in her true form. She may be our Goddess, but she's still a Fell Dragon. She's our best chance for victory right now.

"Dammit Rias, where are you? Where did she send you?" I mutter under my breath. Dogen, the Goddess' transporter, walks up next to me. Where was he these past few days?

"Thought yous could use some help!" Dogen flashes a smile, "I managed to round up a few soldiers from across them waters."

"Ris," Eliose and thousands more troops follow. Humans, Dwarves, and Elves alike, gathering for a final stand against the forces of Chaos, "it's been some time brother. You look like you could use some help."

"Why are there humans here?" I look at the army that's still gathering. Some, if not most, are farmers or merchants from the human continent, "These people can't fight."

"We pleaded with them, but we weren't the only ones that heard the Goddess' roar." Eliose smiles, "Where's Rias and the Queen."

"Rias is missing and our Queen is distraught." I look down at the ground sadly.

"Hey." Eliose places his hand on my shoulders, "Whatever happens, happens, but we'll force Kazle back again."

"It's not just him this time." I take a deep breath, "He brought his daughter."

"Wait, that's not Kazle fighting the Goddess right now?" I shake my head, "Oh Gods, this is troubling. We need Rias."

"Wherever she is, she won't stay away long." I smile, "That girl doesn't know when to stop fighting."

Roaring comes from across the chasm, "Guess we better not stop then huh?"

"Wouldn't have it any other way." I give a battle cry as the Army of Light charges forward.
