Hylin

As Mithrir hopped on to his home, he became aware of something strange that had occurred. His wife was waiting for him at the front door. She was weeping and trying her best to utter a few words. There were only five or so houses in their street and all of them were wealthy. She did not want the neighbors to know something bad had occurred. Mithrir seeing her tears, immediately took her in. Why are you crying? he asked her. Our daughter she wept! What happened to our daughter? asked Mithrir in a stern voice. They took her! she said wiping the tears off her face. Who took her? asked Mithrir. The hylin! she said and put herself in his arms. Mithrir did not even hug her back nor try to console her. An uncontrollable amount of anger engulfed him. He looked blankly at the door in front of him, as his wife looked at him for words of encouragement.
Speak something! she said. He gently removed her from his arms and strode out of the front door. Mithrir got on the carriage and rode straight back to the city center. This time however he did not stay in his carriage nor did he stand next to it. He took long steps with his short legs and kicked Ayrovan to the ground. Ayrovan adjusted his legs and got up again. By the time, everyone surrounded him. I need the money now! he shouted to everyone who stood there. The hunters came and stood in front of him, completely engulfing him in height. Are you trying to threaten me? he asked them. Pay up, fools! he shouted. The foolish hunters pinned him to the ground and and the others too beat him to a pulp. Ayrovan watched helplessly as he knew that an hylin watched from
Above.

An Arrow.....flung from afar and landed on a hunter. Then another, and a few more. Killing a dozen people in the mob. The rest of the mob ran for their lives. A Hylin came in and stood next to Ayrovan and beaten-to-pulp Mithrir. She aimed her arrow at Ayrovan. Ayrovan stood still with his heart beating fast. She smirked and then turned her arrow to Mithrir. Mithrir could barely see anything. He was heavily injured. "I need him alive" she said hitting his belly with the toe end of her bow. She then hopped on to the top of the roof and leapt away.
