Aramir

The carriage moved at a leisurely pace, but the eyes and feet of Aramir twitched faster by the second. There was complete silence. Blothir was sure that the voices were going to occur again anytime. But Aramir was more afraid that the voices would not come, but faces would come out of the forests. With axes swinging! he uttered loudly as the lantern was close to his face. Blothir was now more scared of Aramir than the danger that lurked in the shadows. He kept silent and kept on his tracks. The path became more trodden and narrow. The carriage could barely sneak into it. Aramir looked all around the forests, shining his flames to see the thick trees cover their tracks. Move away! the trees spoke. What was that? asked Aramir. What did you say? asked Blothir. I think there was some one who spoke, he said to the dwarf. Who? again asked Blothir with his eyes wide and sharp. The trees, it was, replied Aramir. Yes, now the trees have begun to speak, spoke Blothir in a satirical tone. Aramir snuffed at the comments of Blothir. What does he know? he murmured again. "Out of here quick!" the trees spoke again. Aramir did not bother to look at the voices again. He looked straight ahead.

Out of the blue, in the corner there leapt a dwarf. He pulled Aramir with him onto the ground. The flames were extinguished and it was surrounded in complete darkness. Armair was getting beat up left and right. Some of the other dwarves who lurked there, surrounded Blothir. Run away and we will spare you! said the dwarves. I cannot! replied Blothir with bravado. So be it, said the greedy dwarves and took Blothir down as well. They beat him to a pulp, and the tow of them were calling for help. No one came to their rescue. Their lives were slowly being taken out of them. Enough! said one of the dwarves. So they left the two of them under the mercy of the forests and rode away with the carriage. Two of the dwarves caught hold of the horses and guided them through the darkness.
