Karamir

Karamir looked on as the craft headed for Plithir. He had a hopeful smile on his face, a wishful dream that his wife and children were going to be in this planet. His flaming eyes met the darkness of the planet. The leaf dwarves optimism were being met by the fading light of the moon. The shining craft was slowly losing its color. Karamir knew that this planet was different from the others. There was more danger lurking here in the shadows, than the whole of the galaxy combined. Borovin approached him, his deputy. And only his yellow eyes were to be seen. "I don't have a good feeling about this planet " he said to Karamir. Karamir kept silent. What do we hope to find here? he asked him. Everything! he murmured. The craft was so large that it caused turbulence in the skies, a friction was created as it entered the atmosphere. The edges of the crafts had caught fire. Take care of it, said Karamir to Borovin.

"The hylin looked at the skies, there was yellow flames in the dark skies." A few sparks flew everywhere. I don't like the look of it, said a senior Hylin. Me neither, said another Hylin. They kept their eyes on the skies. The sparks continued to fly everywhere. AKira was sat on top of the roof that night. She too looked at the skies, as it rained in yellow. She had the diary of Vlohrir with her. She was tempted to have a look at it. I will just have a look at one of the pages, she thought to herself. She looked up and the craft was closing in on her. Some of the sparks started to fall down on the dark planet, like leaves falling down during Autumn. She opened to a page. There were drawings of a bulb, designed like light instrument. Of course, she did not realize what it was. As she was going through it in the dark light of the moon, temporarily illuminated by the flaming sparks from the craft. She put her hands on the drawing, just then a tiny spark of fire fell on the page. She immediately dusted it off, and closed the book.

The craft was heading down. The senior Hylin rounded up all the Hylin in the palace. We can expect a lot of enemies, she said pointing at the crafts. All of us need to meet them where they land. She called the charter Hylin. Chart a path and tell us where they are going to land. The senior Hylin and the others waited for the charter Hylin to provide information to them. The fire was almost out in the leaf craft as it headed down. It looked to them like a shadow eagle that swooped down from the skies to attack its prey. Quick, she said to the charter Hylin. She certainly did not like the look of the craft headed down. It spelled danger! she knew that. There, there came the charter Hylin. This is where the craft is going to land, she said. Let us go, said the senior to the others. They all ran towards the stable, where the horses where kept. They got in it, with the senior Hylin leading the way. They raced ahead to the edge of the dark forests where the craft was expected to land. Karamir still hung at the edge of the craft, as it tilted sideways to land. " Borovin arm yourselves" he commanded. I can sense it, he said. I know, she is here! uttered Karamir as he went and reached for his pistol. The craft landed on the ground, as he jumped from the craft, over on to the surface. He took his pistol and held it in his arm. He stood at a place, where the light reached. If he took one step back, he would be covered in darkness. He did not know that of course! He took a few steps ahead. He started to hear the stomping of the ground. It literally shook. He held his gun firmly as the group of Hylin approached him on their horses. They stopped a few meters ahead of him. Who are you? asked the senior Hylin. " I'am Karamir" he said proudly. Who are you? he asked back at them. The Hylin laughed." You come to our lands and ask us who we are?. What is a wanderer dwarf doing all alone here, in this part of the forests? she asked him. Karamir stood silent as a storm brewed in his eyes. Dwarf, stepped down the Hylin. " Did you see a craft land here?" she asked him. She came closer to him, as the horses slowly trotted a few steps ahead. Yes, he said in a vicious tone. I landed it a few steps from where I Stand. He twitched his eyes, and looked behind. Strange! he said to her. All the Hylin laughed. You are awfully strange for a dwarf, she said. One more step and I will have to shoot you, said Karamir. What did you say? asked the Hylin. I said One more step and I will blow your head off, said Karamir as his eyes turned to a volcanic flame again. He raised his gun at her head. One more step, he warned her. The Hylin became serious and pointed her arrows at him. So did the others!

The head Hylin was about to shoot her arrow as she looked up. The horses began to tread back. The other Hylin now pointed up above, well above the head of Karamir. He scratched his head with the knob of his gun. He turned back, there were hundreds of pairs of eyes standing on the deck. Bright and sharp yellow eyes flickered in the darkness. He again scratched his head with the knob of his gun. I told you, Didn't I? That I landed the craft. He said to the Hylin. There was fear in their eyes, he could see. Now move out of our way! he said to her.

An arrow went up towards the deck of the craft.

It hovered up above the head of the Senior Hylin, in slow motion.

She could see that. She Yelled No..... as her voice echoed across the forest.

Run! she said to the Hylin! praying that the bullets were not silver.

Karamir took aim at the head of the Hylin and shot it.

The arrow hit the arm of a dwarf.

Their eyes widened with anger. The Hylin started to retreat as the bullets started to fly across over at them. Many bullets hit them, causing injury to them but not killing them.

It rained metal, but it was not silver!

Run, you fools! shouted Karamir as he shot the bullets without any break.
