The First Smile

Wilma Nilles struggled to summon the last remnants of spiritual power in her body.

A red bead appeared in her hand.

This was a tool developed by the Fifth Peak of the Myriad Demon Sect, called Resplendent. With even a trace of spiritual power injected, it could unleash immense strength in an instant.

The bead Wilma held was something only the elders of the sect were privileged to possess. Once detonated, it would have the force of a level two transcendent.

She knew it wouldn't be enough to kill Willet Saalfeld. His movement technique was too swift.

Still, Wilma decided to keep the Resplendent as a last resort.

Willet's face twisted with anger as he shouted, "Wilma, you turned down something good!

"I tried to reason with you! At most, I would have used you once. Is any woman from your Myriad Demon Sect still pure?

"If you die now, you'll have nothing left in the future. Are you sure you want to throw your life away?"
