The White House was abuzz with activity as President John Thompson prepared for his daily briefing. As he strutted down the corridors, his advisors couldn't help but notice something different about him.
"Mr. President, is everything alright?" one of them asked tentatively.
"Everything is just peachy, my dear," President Thompson replied with a sly grin.
But as the briefing began, it became clear that something was seriously wrong. President Thompson's usual calm and collected demeanor was nowhere to be found, and in its place was a manic energy that made everyone in the room uneasy.
"Gentlemen, I have a little surprise for you all," President Thompson announced, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I've been thinking a lot about our nuclear arsenal lately, and I've come to the conclusion that it's time to put it to good use."

As the President stormed out of the room, the advisors were left to contemplate the horror of what they had just witnessed. They knew that they had to do something to stop President Thompson before it was too late, but they had no idea where to start.
The next few days were a blur of chaos and confusion as the advisors tried to figure out a way to stop President Thompson. But no matter what they did, he seemed to be one step ahead.
Finally, despite their best efforts, President Thompson was able to launch the nuclear missiles. The world was plunged into darkness as the bombs fell, and the advisors watched in horror as the mushroom clouds rose up into the sky.
As the dust settled and the survivors picked up the pieces of their shattered lives, the advisors knew that they had failed. They had been unable to prevent the worst disaster in human history, and the world would never be the same. The end
