The Awakening ceremony

It's a week to the annual awakening ceremony. Most students were busy in the library, reading. Shujin was no exception. He had only one goal in his mind '' Become stronger and make your parents proud! ''.

Shujin had not just focused on reading because knowledge isn't much helpful especially when awakening magic. Had to improve his mental and spiritual strength. And by doing this, he had to meditate seriously!

Meditation would not only give his mind a peaceful time, but unleash the full potential of the magic inside him, making him awaken an element successfully. Shujin whose body system and health was too week would have to meditate as much as possible.

He had learned this from his 3 weeks of studying hard. He had to make his mind, body and soul ready for awakening. During his time reading, Shujin also found out the various type of magic. There were Elemental magic, White magic, Force magic, Divine magic and Black magic.

The elemental magic includes the main elements and derivatives.

The main includes the one we are more familiar with; Wind, Earth, Fire, and Water.

The derivatives include; Ice, lightning, and Wood.

White magic includes; Psychic, Summoning and Healing.

Force magic includes; Time and space, and Gravity.

Divine magic includes; Light, and Shadow.

Black magic includes; Poison, Sorcery, Conjuration. Darkness might as well fall under this category.

7 days later,

It was finally time for the awakening ceremony. The middle high school students of KAIS Academy were nervous.

Inside a big hall, all students sat orderly in three rows. The first row was for students studying Martial spirits, the second was for students studying Blacksmithing, and the last was for students studying Magic. There were also seats at the back of the hall where the students parents sat.

Shujin and Aito who were at the last seat at the back were nervous too!

'' Shujin what element do you think I'll awaken? '' Aito asked nervous.

'' Well, I'm not the awakening stone, but i know definitely you'll awaken something good. '' Shujin said encouragingly, despite being nervous too.

'' Yeah, thanks. '' Aito nodded. '' I know you'll awaken something good too. '' He added.

Just then, someone passed by with his friends.

'' I can't wait to see someone crying like a baby after failing their awakening. '' Aoki laughed mockingly.

'' It's okay Shujin. Don't reply to him. He's just trying to mess your mind up. You know it can affect your awakening. '' Aito said calmly.

'' And who are you to speak when I speak? Humph... birds of same feather. I can't wait to see how miserable both of you will fail! '' Aoki stormed away angrily when no one replied to him.

The students waited for about 15 minutes before a man walked up the stage. He was the students Principal.

'' Good morning students and parents. '' He greeted while they responded. '' Today will decide the fate of our students as they will be awakening magicks of their various study. Remember, you will either make a name for yourself or lose face in the whole school. The whole school is watching! The awakening will now commence starting with the Martial spirit awakening. And lastly, we all sincerely hope that whatever happens, you don't give up, and continue living your life. I wish you all good luck! '' Principal Botan said and left the stage, with the parents and students giving him a round of applause.

'' As if I need it! '' Aoki who was at the front of Shujin and Aito rolled his eyes.

Two minutes later, an awakening stone was brought to the stage. It was as big as 3 footballs joined together. It was white in color, with colored sparkles all around it.

'' We will be calling students in the Martial spirit section for their awakening. '' A Male teacher announced.

'' Haru Tanaka! ''

A young Male stood up and went forward to the stage. He was obviously nervous.

'' Please place your hand on the stone. '' The male teacher said.

The boy named Haru did as directed, focusing his attention towards the spiritual energy coming from the stone. He inhaled and closed his eyes trying to activate his spiritual world.

A minute later, He snapped his eyes wide open as a white mist clouded him. It was unstable as it started going in another direction. After about 5 seconds, it died down and the boy eyes emitted a blue light!

'' Well done Haru, you have successfully awakened your martial spirit. Improve it and train hard. You'll become bright one day. '' The teacher smiled.

The boy finally grinned. He did it! He had awakened his martial spirit! Just then, a man and woman ran up to the stage hugging and kissing Haru's forehead. They were obviously his parents.

Others did their awakening. Some failed to awaken, some awakened but their martial spirit was low level because of their mental strength, and some awakened successfully.

It was finally time for the Blacksmith lineage awakening. An awakening stone with a metallic color and rough texture was brought in the stage.

Another Male teacher came to the stage and announced.

'' It's time for the Blacksmith lineage awakening. Daisuke Sato, please come forward for your awakening. ''

A plump boy went forward to the stage. His steps were wavering a little and his hands were clamped tight to this shorts. He was extremely nervous.

On the other hand, Aoki and his friends were laughing hard at the boy's wavering steps making him look weird.

'' Please place your hands on the stone, and try to stop being nervous. It will affect your awakening. '' The teacher instructed.

Daisuke closed his eyes and inhaled deeply, placing his hands on the stone. His hands were wavering on the stone.

'' Calm your thoughts Daisuke. You don't want to fail your awakening! '' The teacher kept on telling him.

Daisuke finally calmed down a little and sighed. He shut his eyes so tight that it hurt him a little, but that was his way of calming down.

After some time, his eyes sprang open, emitting a strong silver glow, almost making the stage blur! For a moment, everyone was shocked.

'' Wow! That was impressive! Daisuke, you managed to overcome your nervousness and you awakened a high level Blacksmith lineage! Keep working hard! I see a bright future ahead of you! '' The teacher exclaimed looking proud.
