"W-What's going on here?" Amir managed to stammer out, still thoroughly baffled by the sudden turn of events.

"Do you think they fled because more powerful demon beasts are approaching?" an elderly villager from Mana Village pondered aloud, his brow furrowed in concern.

"I believe so. What other reason could there be for their hurried retreat?" another villager chimed in, nodding in agreement.

"There aren't any powerful demon beasts coming our way. It must have been Jacob who scared them off!" Paco declared loudly, his voice filled with certainty.

Although the young boy had no concrete understanding of how Jacob had managed to drive away the Demon Wolves, he viewed Jacob as a figure of immense power, someone who possessed extraordinary abilities beyond the realm of ordinary comprehension.
