Chapter 1397 ()

Meanwhile, Luna was in Jacob's room, and Jacob was feeling a wave of nerves wash over him. The presence of Luna, Jameel, and Pantherion—mighty individuals in their own right—only amplified his anxiety. He couldn't help but think about Rohan; the king was undoubtedly even more powerful than the rest.

"What kind of character is he?" Jacob wondered silently. The thought of facing Rohan sent shivers down his spine. In his current state, he knew that the king could easily end his life with a mere flick of his wrist.

Noticing Jacob's unease, Luna stepped closer, her voice soothing. "Don't be afraid. My father is an easygoing and mild-mannered man. You'll see I'm telling the truth when you meet him. However, my father hates it when people lie to him, so just be honest when you see him later."

Jacob nodded, though the knot in his stomach remained tightly wound. "Easy for you to say," he thought, trying to calm himself.
