Jacob continued evading her attacks and asked in confusion, "What are you doing? Are you being ungrateful?"

He was taken by surprise as he did not expect Valeria to have woken up already, let alone attack him immediately upon waking. Last but not least, he couldn't fathom why she was targeting him.
