The guard attempted to flee once he knew Jacob was on to him, but Jacob sent him flying with a palm strike before he could do so.

He spewed out a mouthful of blood and died on the spot.

"Come out now. What are you doing sneaking around and tricking me here?"

Jacob yelled.

"I can't believe you actually fell into our trap. It's clear that Luna is someone important to you!"

Xayvion came out of hiding with his men, but Pantherion didn't show himself still.

"So, it's you."

Jacob frowned, an icy glint flashing across his eyes.

He had assumed that Pantherion was behind the plot given that a guard was sent to lure him out. Little did he expect the mastermind to be Xayvion.
