Chapter 30: Nothing Said Says Everything

Weston

Weston was about to have a meltdown when he had already called Felicity five times and she hadn't picked up the phone. He was about to drive and check on her when his phone rang. It was Felicity.

"Are you okay? Why didn't you answer?"

"I was trying to take a bath. Someone was in my apartment?" He could hear her voice shake.

"What? I'm coming to get you. I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Okay. I'll be ready." Now he heard relief. He knew he shouldn't have left her alone. Not with everything going on.

He threw on his shoes and burst out his front door. Within minutes, given he barely acknowledged the speed limit, he was at her place.

She rushed out the door and straight to his arms. He hated that it took all this drama for her to let her walls down with him, but he was also grateful. It was quite bittersweet.
