Chapter 34: Secrets are Never Kept

Felicity

The second Felicity stepped foot inside her father's house, she could smell Perry's scent. She was instantly filled with rage. She wanted to find him and bury him.

But that would have to wait. She needed to tend to her father at the moment.

She hated that shifters still aged. It was slow, but it happened. Her father was not as strong as he once was. He couldn't heal as quickly now.

She could see that some lacerations were beginning to close. Given that he could heal wounds on his own, she couldn't take him to the hospital. Not for this. The heart attack he had was different. He needed that care, but this was something that would have to heal itself.

She would just have to be patient.

She looked up at Weston and nodded at him to follow her into the kitchen. She filled the tea kettle with water, set it on the burner, and turned it on high.

While she waited on the water to boil for tea, she wanted to talk to Weston in private.
