Chapter 5:
The air around the house had suddenly changed to a dangerous one as a tall figure sat cross legged like he ruled the world. He was in the lounge part of the house and just like the rest of the mansion, it was decorated with gold and marble as white as snow. His expression was as emotionless as a ghost, but that couldn't over shadow the fact, that his appearance was beyond imagination.
He was wearing a black tailored suit, which perfectly showed his flawless body. He was a complete definition of the Greek god in human form. His sparkling blue eyes, perfect long nose, long eyelashes, and reddish-pink lips, were something a woman would kill to have.
He was simply irresistible with an additional charm to his looks. No woman could stop herself from melting.
Nicklaus was looking at the screen of his phone, scrolling through some email messages. The room was as quiet as a desert because there was no one except him.
"So? How was your night with her?"
A man suddenly uttered behind him, breaking the impending silence in the room.
Nicklaus wasn't shocked or surprised. It felt like he had been expecting the person but he hadn't. Nicklaus was a strong business tycoon that trained himself to never be caught offgaurd.
A little smirk left his lips at the intruder's question. His mind dived back to last night's scene. Words could not exactly express how last night was because it was the best he had ever had with any woman. The girl was not only pure and innocent, but also as sweet as a strawberry on an ice cake.
"Sweet, I guess," he said, sternly to wipe the sweet expression from his face before the man saw it, but it was too late.
"pfff! Hahaha!" the man couldn't help but laugh. He was amazed at his words, but he had already seen the flattered face before it was replaced by his coldness.
The man walked closer to him and took a seat beside him. He was a good-looking man, handsome and charming. A man, any woman would like to have. But his hottest was not to compare to the devil sitting beside him.
"You know you're terrible when it comes to telling lies? Gosh! You need to attend a class for that!" Devin said, and rested his head back on the chair and closed his eyes. After a busy night of dirty business, he deserved some rest.
"There's something strange about this girl," Nicklaus' deep husky voice said. Trying to figure out who this girl meant to Thomas.
He remembered when Thomas was weeping and begging for mercy like a pitiful child, crying for forgiveness.
Was the girl his daughter? Because he sensed there was something amiss here.
"Huh?" Devin replied, opening his eyes to look at the charming devil beside him.
"What's strange? That you slept with her and enjoyed her?" Devin asked, mockingly.
But he quickly shut his mouth when he noticed the serious look on Nicklaus' face.
"I meant what about her?" He added quickly to clear the intimidating air.
"I think Thomas played me again," he said, calmly and emotionless. Yet the tension was growing thicker by the minute.
"You mean that man who couldn't even sit properly, How can he cheat you again?" Devin asked, not putting interest in the conversation. He knew Thomas was a weak man that couldn't stand on his own. So, there was nothing to waste time on an already dead man. If he appearred to be a problem, one of his little boys could handle him.
"I want you to find out who that girl means to him. If truly she's his biological daughter."
"Gezz! can't I rest a day without blood on my arms!" Devin complained, but when he felt Nicklaus intimidating gaze on him. He changed his words.
"Alright, I will do just that, but that doesn't mean I will have to do it again. But, why are you so concerned about the girl. What's the big deal if she isn't his biological daughter?" Devin asked. Because it was strange the devil bothered himself about something not too necessary. If the girl was Thomas's daughter or not, he shouldn't bother because, from the way he saw it, the devil enjoyed the night with a girl!
"Because I need to know! Now get off your lazy ass. We have work to do!"
On the other side of the large mansion, Lilly was dressed in a new outfit with the help of the maid, who brought the clothes in. She just didn't understand the sudden care this strange man was showering her with after what he did to her the previous night.
Whatever it was his reason for suddenly being hospitable, she didn't want to find out while under his roof. She needed to get home. Done with the dressing, she picked her purse and headed towards the door.
"Young miss!" The maid called and stopped her on her track.
Where did she think she was going without having her breakfast? The maid thought.
Lilly turned with a scowl on her face and asked, "What?"
"You haven't taken your breakfast yet. It would be cold if you didn't have it now before leaving."
Lilly had to fight the urge to roll her eyes at the girl. "Sorry. I'm not hungry," was her reply as she turned towards the door once again. She wanted to leave as soon as possible. The deal was already done and there was no time to mess around.
Besides, she also needed to meet her family and confirm with them if the unknown man had kept to his words.
"But you have to!" the maid insisted.
Her tone made Lilly turn around one more time with a raised brow. But her anger subsided into confusion and sympathy when she saw the look on the maid's face. She was looking pale and scared.
What was the big deal about her not eating and also why was the maid more consistent with her eating?
Lilly tried to figure it out but she couldn't just ignore the terrifying look on the maid's face. With that, she decided to have breakfast. Besides, it was just a simple breakfast and it wouldn't harm if she just took a little bite.
Then, she could finally get the hell out of this place for good!
She walked back and sat on the bed closer to the table where the food tray was laid.
When the maid saw Lilly sitting, she smiled happily that her work was almost done. Quickly, she reached out the plates of every food she served.
There was french toast, boiled eggs, avocado toast, oatmeal, coffee, cereal, and hot spicy chicken soup. And besides these, there were also packs of tablets lying on plates.
Lilly stared at the maid and went back to the food. What the hell of a food combination was this?
"Did your master instruct you to feed me all these?" Lilly asked, blinking her eyes at the maid and the food.
The young maid nodded and smiled uneasily.
This man must be sick!
But she had already accepted to do this and she didn't want to put the maid in some kind of trouble. Lilly picked up the tablets and read the names written on them, but she didn't know what they were for.
"What are these for?"
The maid looked at her hands shyly and said with all politeness, "they're for healing the pains in the vagina."
Lilly choked at her saliva,. Quickly, the maid passed her a glass of water.
"You should be more careful, you'd not want the young master to be upset if anything happens to you." The maid warned in a shuddering voice.
Lilly gulped a few drops into her mouth to calm down her burning heat. She couldn't believe that bastard had the guts to buy her a vagina pain reducer when he was the one who almost destroyed it last night!
"I'm alright," Lilly said and handed the glass back to the maid, who dropped it on the food tray.
"Now that you're okay, can you eat your breakfast please?" The maid asked, flashing Lilly her poppy eyes.
Lilly sighed frustratingly and grabbed a spoon before dipping it in.
"This place is sick and also the people that live in it!" She muttered angrily to herself.
