Chapter 8:

Suddenly, an intimidating laughter burst out of the mouths of the naked couple before her. Rather than being ashamed or terrified about their actions, both of them burst out laughing at her contorted expression. They pointed fingers at how she looked and laughed even more.

"How can you be laughing when you are caught in a disguising act?" Lilly asked as her face reddened with anger. She couldn't believe they still had the nerve to laugh instead of begging!

Michael scoffed first, "Lilly, it took you long enough to find out the truth. What a shame," Michael said before he slowly pulled out of Sofia private part, earning a soft arousing moan from her.

"Baby..." Sofia cried out with pleasure.

The action only aggravated Lilly who was still standing by the door. Mia who remained behind her was also shocked. She couldn't believe her boss could be this shameless. The woman, he was supposed to marry was right in front of him and he cared less.

"How could you do this to me?" Lilly cried out. "You should be ashamed of yourselves, both of you!" She hollered at them, feeling disgusted and irritated by the sight.

"Seriously now?" Sofia said sarcastically.

Getting up, she wrapped herself in the sheet and made her way to her cousin. "You didn't think he'd choose you over me, did you?"

When she didn't get any response from the shocked Lilly, she lightly chuckled.

"Oh, my little cousin Lilly, you must have thought highly of yourself. How could he get married to an orphan like you when a beautiful flower like me is here? Come on Lilly, are you blind? You don't deserve a man like him, you trash!"

"Sofia!" Lilly yelled her cousin's name, her vision clouded as her tears threatened to break free from her sockets.

"You look so pitiful right now, dear cousin," Sofia spat in mockery.

Lilly could not even register Sofia's words anymore. She turned her wobbly lips to Michael. "You said you loved me, how could you do this to me?"

"Love?" He scoffed at her, moving closer to the girls when he had already put on some shorts.

"Love is only for my darling Sofia, not a cheating slut like you!" Michael cursed, looking at Lilly with an irritating gaze.

"Oops! The forbidden secret is revealed," Sofia said with a smile, and went to sit on a couch to watch the drama that was about to display.

Lilly felt like a thunderclap had gone loose in her head. "S-slut?" she stuttured with her eyes widened at Michael.

What on Earth was he saying? Had Sofia told him already? She asked herself as her eyes shifted to Sofia; who was just smiling like a fool watching them.

"I…I don't understand what you're saying," Lilly said, trying to cover her guilty face.

"Oh, you don't?" Michael said, and chuckled softly. "I was told you went to hang outside with a strange man last night, Lilly. Tell me, how was the sex, was it steamy or sexy? You're not as pure and innocent as I thought you were. Instead, you're a dirty lying slut!"

Lilly looked at Sofia one more time and then back to Micheal. "Did she tell you?" she asked with a broken voice. Had he betrayed her because Sofia told him about that?

"Tell me?" Michael scoffed again. "She told me everything about you, Lilly. What you have been doing all these while. She also told me, how your uncle and his wife have been lying to me all this while. You go behind my back to spread your legs shamelessly to unknown men! I can't even believe you can be this dirty Lilly, and you stand here telling me about love? You must be stupid if you think I have ever loved you. I hate you, Lilly! I hate everything about you!" He screamed at her.

The tears she had been trying to hold back, scrolled down from her eyes, she couldn't hold them anymore. The words Michael was saying to her were more like a sharp dagger thrown at her back. Everything he said meant, he wasn't just getting this information right now.

"I…I.. never thought I was a fool all along. This wasn't the first time you guys have done this right?" Lilly asked, biting bitterly on her lips.

"Of course not darling, it isn't the first time, neither would it be the last time," Michael said with a deviously smirk as his eyes swipe to the side of Sofia, who was joyfully smiling at them.

"Then, why do you come to me when you can easily go to her?"

Michael smiled, and stepped closer to Lilly, cupping her weeping face in his palms. "Did you know why? Because you're my ticket to wealth. Why do you think I wanted to get married to you in the first place? because my grandfather wanted that. And if I don't get married to you, I can't inherit the position I have always dreamed of. Besides, this is also your father's wish for his daughter to be part of a powerful family. So, sweetie, you're going to get married to me no matter what!"

"Get your arms off me! You bastard!" Lilly slapped his arms of her face.

"Mia! Get this thing out of sight now!" Michael commanded, while Mia immediately grabbed Lilly's hands pulling her out of the room.

"You're an asshole Michael, an asshole!"

While Lilly was dragged out, Sofia got up from her position and walked to Michael to give him a sweet desirable kiss.

Lilly felt like her whole world had crumbled before her, she couldn't help it and let out a scream. Even Mia felt pity for her. She always knew her boss was an asshole but never expected he would stoop so low to hurt Lilly this way.

"Miss Evans, do you need some water?" Mia asked. She didn't like to see Lilly this way as it hurt her as much as it hurt Lilly.

Lilly wiped her tears as she saw no point in crying about something that never deserved her right from the beginning.

"No, thank you, Mia, I have to be on my way," she said, and left the house.

Immediately after Lilly stepped out of the house, a black BMW was secretly parked at the corner of the street, watching her moves from afar.

"Boss, she's out now. What should I do?". The unknown voice asked on the phone.

"Follow her."
