Chapter 88

Xiao Yi couldn't describe the feeling that rushed through him when he glanced over to see that Yang Yutao had moved out of his notes app, and had landed on a website with a beautiful blue dress that looked like it could be worn by a bridesmaid in a wedding. He quickly reached over and snatched the phone out of the man's hand with a red face and clicked out of the app. "Don't buy it."

The man's hand followed his own, but he didn't snatch his phone back. Instead, he tilted his head and watched as Xiao Yi went through the motions of deleting his notes as well, then said. "It's not nice to steal other's things."

Xiao Yi glanced up, then looked at the phone in his hand as if it had offended him and swiftly pushed it on the table in front of Yang Yutao. "It's gone."

"Hmm." Yang Yutao nodded with a small smile. "You don't want to see me in a dress?"

"As beautiful as you would look…" Xiao Yi ran his eyes over the man's body and bluntly answered. "It's not your type."

Yang Yutao leaned against the bar and tilted his head. "What do you think my type is?"

"Sweatpants and a sweater."

"…"

As the night went on, Xiao Yi thought they would have long run out of things to talk about. Instead, the conversation flowed from animals to global warming, to a betting contest on how many goals the team on the TV could get along with a drinking game… By the time the bar was closing, both men were drunk.

"It was really beautiful, a little cabin hidden in the woods with a lakeside view, but there was-"

"Eh?" Xiao Yi belatedly jumped as he saw the bartender appear out of nowhere from the corner of his eyes, as if he were a magician who hadn't walked a completely normal pace to stand behind the bar that the two men used as armrests.

The bartender nodded. "It's time to shut down for the night. Did you guys drive?"

Xiao Yi glanced at Yang Yutao as if he was questioning his existence.

Yang Yutao wasn't faring much better than he was, he seemed to be questioning whether or not he had a car in the first place. Eventually, he reached into his pocket without anyone asking and obediently slid his keychain over to the bartender.

Another keychain was placed on the counter as Xiao Yi frowned and pushed his over, too. He didn't know why he was giving his apartment key to this bartender, it was a bit rude to ask for it in the first place, but Yang Yutao had given his over first.

Then, the two men wobbled out of the bar without their apartment keys.

"I didn't think you looked like this." Yang Yutao mentioned, linking his arm with Xiao Yi's as the other was about to turn the wrong way to go home. "Your face was always covered."

Xiao Yi nodded solemnly. "It was the team's idea."

Yang Yutao clicked his tongue. "They were scared you'd steal all the fans."

He nodded. "Fans are really expensive…"

"…"

That's not what he meant!
