Two Days after Prom it was game week, it was also one day before school ended. But this was something for the group to be happy about, This was the last game that Josh was going to play alongside Sammy and Daniel, and also this was the last school year that they will ever see each other. This was the last day that Josh will be with his friends and girlfriend, he was leaving for New York! So for his last game, he played hard a led his team to win. Football was Josh's all life, he grew up with a football in his hands and he was raised playing that sport, so to fulfill his dream his dad had to send him to New York to pursue his dreams with the help of his uncle. Who knows, this might be the last time that they will be face-to-face.
"We're going to miss you, bro." Daniel said as he hugged Josh and patted his back, "I'm going to miss practicing with you man," Sammy added, "I can't believe I'm saying this but, I'll miss you too." Destiny remarked, Josh chuckled and nodded his head. "Don't forget we're always here for you, anytime you want us just call!" Aria smiled, "I promise to call and text you guys every day." Josh smiled, "do you have to go," Love cried, "Look at you, such a crybaby." Josh smiled as he hugged her, "I'll miss you too Love, your my favorite little none blood-related sister." Josh patted her head, "So don't cry." He said wiping her tears.
"Promise to call me and Li when you get there okay!" Love remarked, "I promise." He smiled. Josh looked around to see if someone else was coming but there was no sign of anyone else. "I guess she's not coming." He smiled, "Well guys I have to go now. Let's meet again okay." He smiled as he pulled all of them for a hug. Josh looked happy on the inside but deep down he was hurting hard. Not only was he leaving his whole life behind, he lost the girl he loves the most. Elizabeth was the only girl he ever truly loved, and to see that she didn't come to say goodbye he was hurt. You know what, let's take a picture together, it will be our last memory before you leave." Daniel suggested, "Okay, let us do it then." They all agreed and stood in front of each other. "Okay, smile everyone," Josh instructed, they all smiled. "Ok, hold up!" Josh instructed. "Holding hands, one by one." Everyone held their hand tight. "Say cheese!" The guy exclaimed as he took the photo. "Okay guys, this is goodbye," Josh said as he grabbed his suitcases and walked to the check-in.
when he got into the plan his smile faded from his face as he remembered what Elizabeth said to him the night before he left.
Last night at Elizabeth's house.
"What do you mean by that?" Josh asked looking at her confused, "I mean that to forget what we did on prom night. I wasn't in my right mind that's why I let it happen so please just forget what we did." She replied seriously, "How can you say that, you were the one the came onto me first!" Josh added, "I don't care, and I didn't like it whatsoever. I never even planned to do it with you, I felt disgusted that I had to do it with someone who slept with multiple girls." She stated, "What's making you say all of this? You were fine for the past few days so what's wrong now?" He asked concerned, "Oh and I think we should end our relationship!" She added.
Josh was shocked hearing all of these things, he sat next to her thinking about what she said. Josh kept wondering to himself whether he was better off without her or if he should stay with her. The more he thought about it, the worse he felt. He wanted to go back home because he knew he was an idiot. He missed her and he wished she would've been there for him like any girlfriend would have done. But instead of being there for him, she made him feel worthless. Why didn't she tell him that she hated him? Was she afraid that he wouldn't forgive her? Or maybe she just realized that she was falling out of Love. "But I still love you and only you." Josh thought to himself.
The plane landed at Newark Airport. As soon as he stepped out of the plane, he saw his uncle waiting for him outside.
"Hey Josh, how are you?" His uncle asked as he hugged Josh, "I'm good, thanks." He replied he didn't want to talk much. He was tired from the flight.
"Are you ready to go home?" Josh's uncle asked as he handed him some money. "Yeah, where are we going now?" He asked, his uncle smiled, "We're going to pick up your car." He replied, "What?" Josh asked surprised, "yes, your dad decided to get you a car since you'll need it." He replied smiling, "Cool. So what kind of car is it?" He asked curiously, "Well, your dad bought you a new Audi A5." He replied excitedly, "Wow, awesome!" Josh added as he followed his uncle to the parking lot.
They went to the parking lot and parked the Audi. They both got out of the car and greeted each other.
"So, what do you think about the car?" Josh's uncle asked. Josh smiled, "it's great." He replied. "Well, we'll probably go somewhere after this." His Uncle explained as he pointed towards a nearby restaurant.
As they entered the restaurant they ordered their food and ate. After eating, they drove back to his uncle's house. Josh was surprised at how big New York was and he couldn't believe that he was going to live there starting today.
