Later the next morning while Evelyn was trying to sneak back in the house she found her mom and dad sitting in the living room. "Good morning, Mom and Dad," Evelyn greeted with a forced smile, her heart racing. She tried to appear nonchalant as she replied, "Oh, I was just hanging out with some friends at Sarah's house, you know, studying for a project." Her mom raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. "Studying? On a Saturday night?" her dad chimed in, his tone curious. Evelyn's mind raced as she tried to come up with a convincing response.

Evelyn's mom exchanged a glance with her dad before turning her attention back to Evelyn. "Studying, huh?" she said, her voice dripping with doubt. "And is that why you didn't answer your phone when I called?" Evelyn bit her lip nervously, searching for another excuse. "Oh, I must have left my phone on silent," she replied, hoping it sounded plausible.

Her dad leaned forward, his expression serious. "Evelyn, we just want to know the truth. We're concerned about where you were and why you didn't let us know." Evelyn's frustration began to rise as she felt trapped in the web of lies. "I promise, I was at Sarah's all night.

"Okay then, if that's what you want to stick with I'll call Sarah's mom and ask." She said taking her phone and started dialing the number. "Okay!" Evelyn shouted stopping her mother, "I wasn't with Sarah last night," said fidgeting her fingers. "Then where were you?" Elizabeth asked, "I just met a friend last night." She remarked her head facing the floor. "What friend Evelyn?" She asked, she stayed quiet and didn't answer the question.

"Give me your phone." Elizabeth said reaching out her hand, "WHAT NO!" "MY PHONE IS MY PRIVACY!" Evelyn exclaimed, "I bought the phone so I own it." Elizabeth told her. "Dad!" She turned over to her dad, "give your mom the phone," he remarked. "But," she cried, "give it to me now!" Elizabeth exclaimed. "Okay, okay." She cried handing over the phone.

Elizabeth grabbed the phone and started looking through it. First, she looked through the messages she had with a guy named Alex. "Who's Alex?" She asked, "his just a friend." Evelyn replied nervously, "I just got back let's meet up." Elizabeth read the messages, "Why was he texting you this at 12 in the midnight? Evelyn stayed quiet her head down facing the floor. "We're you with this guy the whole night?" She asked, "yes ma'am." "What were you guys doing?" She asked, "We didn't do anything I promise!" She panicked. Elizabeth sighed as she came out of the text convo and went through her camera roll. As she scrolled through the pictures she saw some exclusive pictures and videos.

"Can you explain this?" She asked as she showed her a naked picture of herself and the guy in bed. "I'm sorry!" She cried falling to her knees. "Ah," Elizabeth sighed as she turned off the phone.

"Having sex and sneaking out is another thing, but taking pictures and videos of your naked body is just unspeakable." She sighed, "How can you disrespect your body like that huh?!" She asked.

Her dad's stern voice broke the silence. "Evelyn, we didn't raise you to make such reckless choices. This isn't just about trust, it's about self-respect and valuing your well-being."

"I'm highly disappointed in you Evelyn. My mother didn't raise me to be reckless and I won't raise you to be irresponsible and disrespectful." Elizabeth told her.

Evelyn's heart felt heavy as the weight of her parents' disappointment settled upon her. Their words echoed in her mind, reminding her of the values she had strayed from and the mistakes she had made. Her eyes were red from crying, and she wished she could turn back time and make different choices.

Tears streamed down her face as she looked up at her mom and dad. "I'm so sorry," she managed to choke out, her voice quivering. "I never meant for any of this to happen. I let you both down, and I let myself down."

"Say goodbye to your social life and also your phone. Maybe locking you up in this house will straighten you up." She said as she got up and walked away. "I expected better from you Evelyn," Josh said as he also got up and left the room.

Feeling a mixture of regret and shame, Evelyn remained in the living room, her emotions in turmoil. She knew her actions had consequences, but the weight of her parents' disappointment was even heavier than she had imagined. As the hours passed, she found herself lost in thought, replaying the events of the past few weeks and wondering how she had ended up making such poor choices.

The next day, Evelyn woke up in a quiet house. Her phone, once her lifeline to the outside world, was gone. She realized her parents were serious about grounding her and taking away her privileges. The isolation was suffocating, but deep down, she understood that she needed time to reflect on her mistakes.

"Yup, apparently she got in trouble and her parents took everything from her." Lucas told Helena over the phone, "Why would they do that out of the blues?" She asked, "I don't know, it has to be something bad that she did." He remarked, "Do you think they found out about Alex and the sex tapes?" She asked, "Of course not, we told her that it wasn't good to be recording those kind of stuff so why would she." He stated, "Well Alex could've tempted her." She replied, "I'm gonna go over to her house and ask, so don't jump to conclusions." He told her.

At Evelyn's house in her room:

"So after we all told you that what you were doing was wrong you continued it?" He asked, "You're making it sound like a big deal." She rolled her eyes, "Because it is, you don't know the possibilities that could happen. What if those videos and photos get leaked, your reputation will be ruined!" He exclaimed. "And now you're in trouble because of the same stuff." He remarked, "Why are you being such a nuisance, Lucas, it's my relationship and I do what I want!" She exclaimed, "And your one to talk, what if your parents found out your big secret that you hiding." "How can you say that Evelyn." "Right, if your parents found out that you were gay your little happiness with them won't last long. Matter of fact you're worse than me, I rather do what I do than be a man and being fucked by another." She stated. "Maybe I was the dumb one to think that I was being a good friend by telling you what's wrong and what's right." He said walking out of the room.

Lucas walked down the stairs trying to hold back his tears as Evelyn's words echoed in his head. He couldn't believe that his own best friend will say that to him.

"I'll go outside for some fresh air." He told his mom as he walked past her and Elizabeth.

Love and Elizabeth looked at each other confused why Lucas will suddenly storm out of the house.

"What did she do now." Elizabeth sighed, "Don't worry about it, Evelyn is just going through some things you have to understand. As for Lucas, I'll talk to him." Love told her, "What things could She be going through? She doesn't have a single problem on her back, so why would she be worried? She's living a comfortable life." Elizabeth stated, "I don't know what has gotten into her, I didn't raise her to be like this. I could say she got all this attitude from her father but her father wasn't bad as her!" She exclaimed, "Don't be harsh Li, she needs some time. She's still a teenager after all." She told him, "I am at my last straw, if she dears to do something stupid again I'm sending her to Africa." "So she can learn that there are REAL problems people deal with." She remarked. "You can be funny sometimes." Love chuckled.
