Chapter 6 - About the jade pendant

Ai Li's mother was literally giving her the impossible, like how would she copy ten times of the rule book when she just got hit in hand more than 10 times. I mean she understand why her mother would do this it's for her own good. Like any other mother would be worried about their child if they haven't gone home this late night. " Give Ai Li some medicine for her hands and tell Rouxi to stop searching for her young lady. " Madame Huang commanded.

" Mother, I will go back to my room now have good night. " Ai Li greeted her mother.

" I will wait for your copy until tomorrow afternoon." Madame Huang said.

On her way to her room she looked at her hand that had became red and sighed as she had to copy a rule book for ten times. Ai Li jumped onto her bed and lay down as if she hadn't sleep on her bed for a few days. She glanced at her study table thought about how many hours would take her to finished it all in one day.

Just thinking about it made her sighed even more. She then started looking at the ceiling without changing the direction for a quite sometimes. In a result she has fallen asleep and kept snoring loudly even saliva came out of her mouth guess she's having a good sleep.

Someone rushed opened her door and it made Ai Li fell off her bed as she was shocked from getting woken up by that . The young lady wiped her eyes and mouth then realized her hands still hurt but it faded away little bit. " What trouble did I made this time I have no energy to get punished?" Ai Li asked.

A heavy breathing could be heard from the person who opened the door. " I'm glad young lady you're here." Rouxi said as she was catching her breath.

Rouxi then grabbed her young lady both arm " My young lady , are you hurt anywhere?" she said in a hurry and worried at the same time. " No need to worry about me I'm fine ." the young lady answered.

Rouxi looked at her young lady hands and looked like her hands were beaten for a lot of time. Rouxi asked about her young lady's hands and Ai Li told her maid that she got punished by the Madame.

Rouxi felt bad for Ai Li getting the punishment instead she should gotten the punishment because she had a duty to protect her young lady. Rouxi kneeled down and said " My young lady , you can punish me as I wasn't there to help you avoid the punishment." Ai Li laughed a little " Instead of asking for punishment , help your young lady to apply medicine for her hands."

( At the Zhang's resident )

Li Xin looked at the pendant for a quite sometimes and he smirked as he looked at the pendant at first glance. Bo Qin came to report about the prisoner it seem until now the hostage won't speak anything other than saying that he was innocent and he just followed what he was told to do. " Master , are you having difficulties to figure out the pendant if not I will help you to figure it out." "No help is needed since I've already figure it out." Bo Qin suggested they can start using the more torture method to make the prisoner speaks." Li Xin informed his bodyguard that he would interrogate with that man himself .

" Where are you going Xiao Li? " Madame Zhang said as she saw he son was walking towards the entrance. " There's something caught up in work ." young master Zhang replied to his mother. " Come back as soon as you can son."

Young master Zhang also known as General Zhang has arrived at the prison cell. As he walked passed down the hall every soldier salute at him as they pass by him to pay respect.

At last, General Zhang had arrived at the torture chamber . He straight away asked how was the process of the interrogation . The soldier in charged reported to him that there hadn't been any good process through out the interrogations because the prisoner kept fainting and saying the same sentences on and on.

The prisoner was unconscious and was covered in blood also he was tie up. In ordered to wake him up General Zhang ordered someone to splashed water at the prisoner. As a result the man gained his consciousness again at last.

Zhang Li Xin started questioning the man. The man kept saying the same thing again. General Zhang had enough so he ordered one of the soldier to bring all kind of torture devices. As the devices came the looked on the man had increase his fear , goose bump was all over him. Li Xin asked him to picked his favorite devices but he didn't picked anyone of them. He just use his head to denied everything as he did not dared to answer the general. Well, the general was already impatience so he picked for the prisoner himself.

The devices was just an inch closer to the prisoner and all of the sudden the prisoner shouted " I GIVE UP, I WILL TELL YOU BUT PLEASE JUST DON'T KILL ME I BEGGED OF YOU !" General agreed to listened one last time.

The prisoner told him that when he received the ordered from a man was wearing a hat veil that reached his shoulder so he didn't recognized him. He had two guard around him and wasn't sure whether he was an assistant or a master. Well, the offered was a good deal so the prisoner agreed .

General then questioned the prisoner about the other one beside him during in the alley last time. He explained which was in certain he didn't knew the person in the alley last time , they only met once.

The general continued his questions to the prisoner about what he was told to do . He said that they were told to disguise themselves as servants that will serve during the event and would put poison on one of the servings but didn't said the specific person . General Zhang ended the interrogations.

The general spared his life since he has done his part but he would still be in prison to pay towards his actions. The prisoner bowed down and thanked the general for sparing his life as he was brought back to his cell. Bo Qin was suspicious about whether he told the truth or not.
