"Augh..." Eradan groaned from the sharp pain his head felt. A quick prick in the flesh and a slight shiver, the pain abruptly ceased, leaving Eradan in a gasping mess. He straightened up just as the pain ceased, his arm which held the orb stretched out before him... It was quivering. That was strange? What was the cause of the sudden pain he felt?

He squinted his eyes and decided to move on despite the strange phenomenon that just happened to him. A bright haze of blue glitters as it's wielder wallowed in the shadow of darkness.

Suddenly, Feets came to a halt... Again.

Eradan saw something. It wasn't a carcass this time.

A fifteen feet tall door, widely open, stood before the youth— Having a dangerous yet invoking aura. The size of this door had Eradan intimidated, but still intrigued the youth to find out what was going on within it.

It was all quiet, except the low breaths of the blonde haired individual within that scene. Gently, Eradan took a few steps then stopped. Was there really someplace like this in this town that seemed too peaceful? Bones and carcasses? Who knows what was within this open doors?

He shook his head in disbelief. Guess places shouldn't be judged by their jovial appearance.

Bracing himself, Eradan took bold steps and walked into those doors....

....

Back at Eradan's home, Andrew, worried and confused, paced up and down within the house while Robin stared beadly at him.

He said he would come back early, Why isn't he back yet? Andrew questioned within himself. He was utterly worried about Eradan. His mind began to wonder on challenges the other might be facing. What if he couldn't sell all so he decided to stay longer? What if he was attacked... Or even worse, kidnapped? No! Eradan could save himself. What was really keeping him for so long? If it was those shoes he could just come back with it already. His mind was like a raging storm filled with worries and only the return of Eradan could douse it.

Andrew walked towards the window of his disarranged house and peeked through it. The grey clouds densely encroached the sky that it dwelled in. Sooner or later, it was going to rain.

"When is mama coming back?" Andrew suddenly heard. He turned and met beady grey eyes of Robin, which requested for answers on his mother's whereabout. He walked towards the little Elven boy and patted him on the head, rubbing Robin's soft grey hair.

"He would be back soon." Andrew answered. All he hoped for was for Eradan to be safe. "He'll surely be back"

A loud thunder reverberated through the sky, startling Eradan. He paused on his steps and turned back. He could already tell what was to happen next. It's going to rain? And Andrew would be worried about him!

Again, he felt the need to turn back and head home but this curious mind of his wasn't giving him the chance. It was persistent on finding out what was really within this place. He really didn't want to put Andrew in deep worries but he couldn't just go back after arriving this far.

Worridly, the youth fixed his gaze forward and decided to move on.

As Eradan delved deeper into this place, he sighted hazes of bright golden light coming from a direction not far from him. Walking towards it but stopped when he noticed that it came from the turn of the route he followed.

Like butterflies, gently and slowly, he gropped on the walls but stopped when he was at that cut. The angle where the golden rays were coming from.

Slender fingers grasped the edge as Eradan's head came out for a peek. Blue eyes decorated by golden hazes saw a large room— really lengthy.

This room was illuminated with a glowing golden instrument at it's centre, bright enough to lit up the whole room. Although Eradan couldn't get a full view of this room, he noticed that close to the walls of that room were cages built on each other.

"Hahaha" He unanticipatedly heard a deep hysterical laughter. Boot steps were coming out of that room towards where he was!

Eradan ducked his head back into the shadows it came from and crushed his chrystalline orb to dust. They sparkled like stars until their luminiscence faded away.

Having done that, Patiently and noiselessly, he awaited their approach.

"Don't worry Morgan, em making lots of money through it" He heard a deep voice say as those boots approached him.

"But Tamond , won't this creations be used for evil." Was the worried response of  another voice.

Evil? Eradan eyes widened at the mention of that. He carried on with his unfortunate eavesdropping because if he was going to be caught then that was his end... Or maybe not.

"Morgan. Our business that isn't. Em money are our main concern... Nothing else." The buff voice came again.

" Even if we all die through it?" The other voice resonated.

A brief silence ensued, while those pairs of boots continued with their steps. Eradan heard nothing more while he pondered on what he had heard. Evil? Die through it? He couldn't just put the pieces of what he'd heard together. However, whatever that thing was, it proved dangerous.

Eradan heard those boots resonate as they got closer to the sharp turn where he was. The youth held his breath as he heard them inch closer and waited for them turn and pass.

However, contrary to the youth's thought, just when they had reached there and turned, only then did they come to a halt. Eradan's eyes widened in shock and realization as the silhouette of those individuals met his eyes.

He knew it! Eradan was sure he had seen those faces before. One was the buffy, money loving man of those Forrest men that sold that wolf with golden fur. While the other... Wait! This was the one that spotted him in his hideout and sent the rest after him. That was when he dwelled alone in the woods. Who knows, maybe he was going to spot him again.

Morgan and Tamond was it? He'll just imprint those names for further research. Back to the woods, the youth began to reminiscence the Ethereal nature of the pink lush forest he dwelled in.

The solidarity he enjoyed while he dwelled there alone, free from the sight of beings in this realm. Eradan could say that he was utterly free from the evils of this world he resided in.

The breathtaking visage of that forest during Dawn envisioned his memory. The pink leaves giving a hue of gold. He could remember the alluring smell and gentle currents that welcomed him into that niche. It was all magica—

"Do you wish for us to die Morgan?" The buffy man asked, drawing Eradan's attention.

"Do I?" The other answered, his tone sarcastic.

Twitch... He felt something. It was an overbearing divinity aura. He had sensed this aura as he approached earlier but suddenly it vanished. Now, it came back with full force then vanished again. Something else was here?

He shifted his gaze to Eradan's direction but didn't see anything as it was dark.

Oh not again! A blonde thought to himself as he felt the irksome gaze of the so called Morgan. Was he going to catch me again? If he did then Eradan was busted.

"Then stop saying things like that." A deep voice brought this mage's gaze back to the individual before him. "We need more money... That's all."

Eradan sighed in relief. That individual's gaze was really troublesome and gauging out his eyes would be the best solution.

"A warning it is Tamond. A warning that we should stop this trade of capturing mystical creatures and selling them to that evil..." The other paused before refraining his sentence "That folk."

"Look Morgan, me don't know what's bothering you, but you have to stop this thingy of yours... Em money are the big deal. We need more coins Morgan, we have to make coins so we could rule this kingdom and the likes of them."

Pause! Eradan cringed. Why was everyone so eager with domination and sovereignty? Resume!

"And the likes of them. And this, is the fastest way to earn it. Don't be em wet blanket". Tamond concluded.

At this moment, Morgan kept quiet as if assimilating what Tamond had told him. He breathed deeply and exhaled, the sound of his breath mildly heard. He finally agreed with Tamond in response " Ok Tamond... The business continues..."

Eradan remained in his position as he watched them leave. Morgan, once again, casted a glance at his direction before following Tamond up— Their footsteps becoming faint as they both moved farther.

That was close. Eradan exhaled. He gets out of the shadow and checks out for slight movement on both sides. It was safe for movement. Eradan wipes off dust that attached his cloth while he hid and sneakily walks into the room.

Blue eyes look up at the size of the size of this room. It was large, All cages in it empty. Eradan walked towards a corner and hid behind one of those large wooden cages. Through its opening, he can spot a glowing instrument at this rooms center. It's a round instrument with golden rays sipping out from pore like holes on the instrument. A dim light from the top traps it in between.

A soft whimper nearby grabbed his attention...
