XLIII

"Are you okay?", Serenity asked Evander.

"Yeah, like usual. You know I don't like that thing at all," he replied.

"I know but I forgot. I should be with you instead of playing around like a kid with them."

"Huh? Is that so? I never told you to always be here with me. What do you think I am? A vampire who will chain you to him so that you can't enjoy your life" Evander asked with a smirk.

"Oh no! I just thought you will feel uncomfortable with it," Serenity begins to blush.

"I'm uncomfortable with all the noise but I'm also not a selfish being. You have the right to enjoy your life after all."

"Evan, can I ask you one thing?", Serenity asked with a serious tone.

"Sound serious. What is it?"

"What will happen if... something or someone separated us?"

Evander looks at Serenity curiously. From where this question came from? But, he does realize that both of them are impossible to be together.

"Why you asked that?"

"Nothing... just answered it."
