Alex is born in a continent where power is respected. His mother dies during his birth. His father then marries another wife with whom he gets two sons. Alex fails to awaken his powers thus his mother treats him badly while his father turns a blind eye to his son's predicament.

Alex is fed up with the treatment he receives thus he decides to leave his home and try to find how fate has planned for him. After leaving home, he awakens after receiving a skill book named the system awakening skill book.

The Golden Star

After the old man left, the king frowned for a while and then removed a crystal from his spatial ring. If Alex was here, he would be able to recognize it as it was the same as the one that he’d gotten from Oliver. It was just that this one was somehow bigger and shinier. 


He injected his essence into it and after a moment, a rough voice came from the crystal. “What is it?” 


This time, the king’s expression lacked all the arrogance that it had a moment ago. He was servile and fawning at the same time. “Great one, it seems that we will have to push our plans forward. We’ll be attacking in a month’s time.” His voice was like that of a small kid talking to an elder. 


“Push it to three weeks. And the target locator has been taken by someone else. The girl is still there but the one supposed to take her is dead. Tell them to get her back at this moment. Failure to do so is punishable. And my only punishment is death.” Immediately after that, the glow on the crystal died down.
