Alex is born in a continent where power is respected. His mother dies during his birth. His father then marries another wife with whom he gets two sons. Alex fails to awaken his powers thus his mother treats him badly while his father turns a blind eye to his son's predicament.

Alex is fed up with the treatment he receives thus he decides to leave his home and try to find how fate has planned for him. After leaving home, he awakens after receiving a skill book named the system awakening skill book.

The Golden Star

Upon closer inspection, she found that he had some slight resemblance to Alex. She turned her gaze to Alex as she asked, “Alex, is he….” 


“Yes, he’s my half-brother, Mathew.” Alex replied calmly. 


Jane stared at him for a while before turning her faze towards Mathew, who was done with the first stage of the test and was going for the second. Her gaze was cold at this moment. She clearly knew that Alex didn’t have a good relationship with his family. 


And from the way that Alex had told her during the three years that he had spent in Kravon, she knew that the relationship between Alex and this half brother of his wasn’t good at all. It could be said that if not for the fact that they were sharing the same surname, then one would have thought that they were enemies instead of brothers. 


Alex could feel that the temperature around Jane was silently dropping and he could already guess what she was thinking. So, he placed his hand on her shoulder before shaking his head.
