Encounter a Serial Killer

They all had no option left but to turn around and go back home. Their actions had devastated them all. They felt so attached to her that it was very hard for them to leave like this, but they had to do it.

They started their journey to go back home.

"I want to punch myself and Minho so hard," Jaena said, who was angry with herself and Minho.

"Yeah, me too," Minho added.

"You don't have to; I can do this for you," Seola responds angrily, gesturing a punch toward his face.

"You always find a reason to punch me," Minho glared at her.

"Because you deserve it. Do you know what your biggest problem is? And my biggest reason to hate you is that YOU ARE JUST LIKE YOUR BROTHER! YOU BOTH ARE VERY INSECURE AND COCKY." Seola almost yelled; it was the first time she spoke so loudly like this. Her words made everyone stop in their tracks since they all knew what had happened in the past and how hard it was for her to say that. She still had scars on her heart.

She continued as a tear started to swim in her eyes: "You know what? When I met Maya, I felt a connection that I had never felt before. I can feel her loneliness." "I can feel her on so many levels."

"Even though I am always around hundreds of people every day, I still feel lonely. I can't imagine how she survived alone in this forest all these years. I felt her when she said, "The inner piece is all you need." She took a deep breath and continued to express her inner voice, which she had kept hidden inside her all these years.

"I said to myself for the first time in my life that I want to be friends with her, even though she looks different, but it doesn't bother me or even matter."

Everyone was listening to her quietly and could feel her pain through her voice and eyes. Minho was quiet now.

"I'm sorry, it's my fault," Minho said, looking down.

They all started walking again. No one was talking to anyone. They were all lost in their own thoughts.

As they were walking sadly, they heard a gunshot, and after that, the painful scream of Daehyun, "Aaah..."

"What happened!?" Everyone got confused and panicked. As they turned around, they found that Daehyun got shot in his leg and couldn't run anymore; they heard a gunshot again, and this time Minho got shot in his arm.

Jaena rushed toward her brother and tried to hide behind him. On the other hand, Seola positioned her bow but couldn't find anyone because of the darkness.

Suddenly, a man appeared from the darkness in front of them, carrying a rifle.The creepiness was plastered on his face.

"I'm not going to hurt you, my little children, I'm not going to... just come with me... or this will be inside you," he croaked.

Seola was about to release her arrow when he shot another in the air, making them more scared. Seola was scared and dropped her bow.

"I said I wouldn't hurt you; don't you listen to me?" He said it angrily.

He rushed toward Seola and was about to hit her when suddenly a long white hair strand came forward very fast, grabbed him from his waist, and threw him toward a tree, making him hit so hard.

Maya emerged from the shadows, her eyes filled with rage rather than innocence.

When everyone saw her, they felt relief in their hearts.

The man started to cry in pain; his rifle was not in his hand anymore but in Jaebin's, and he pointed toward him.

Maya’s hair grabbed him by his leg and threw him again and again until he went unconscious. Everyone released a relaxed breath.

"Maya... "You saved us again," Jaena exclaimed as she ran up to Maya and hugged her tightly.

Maya saw that Daehyun and Minho were injured, so she quickly went to treat them.

She needed to heal both of them, or one would die from blood loss. Even though it cost her so much energy, she did it anyway.

"Maya, thank you!" Daehyun spoke softly.

She then went to treat Minho. He held her hand after getting healed and said genuinely, "I am sorry, Maya, for everything I said; you can hit me if you want."

She shook his hand and smiled slightly as she stood up, but her energy was depleted and she felt dizzy all over.

As she felt that she could collapse at any moment, Jaebin, who also noticed this and was right behind her, supported her by grabbing both of her shoulders from behind.

Maya quickly felt an electric shock as he touched her; due to this, she regained her lost consciousness and somewhat returned to her senses.

"How do you know we are in trouble?" Her body shook when Jaebin questioned her, and his soothing voice echoed in her ears.

Maya said with a small but sweet smile, "I told you that even though we are not friends now, I will be there for you if you need me."

They were all very moved by her words. Seola walked at a fast pace toward Maya and hugged her.

Everyone was shocked by her behaviour because it was not Seola's thing; she had never hugged anyone before, but they all remembered what she said before, so it was possible.

Daehyun came forward and said calmly, "Maya, I want to be your friend, a real friend, a friend who never hurts each other."

Maya nodded with tears; she felt that her heart was filled with love. They all came forward and hugged her as a group.

While they were group hugging, Maya was in the center. She moved her head here and there to find someone, only to find that person was also looking at her with softness in his eyes.

It was the first time they made proper eye contact, but they both suddenly looked away awkwardly after finding that the other person was also looking at them.

After that, they discussed and decided to bring this criminal with them to Maya's house, where they will deal with him tomorrow morning.

They all went to Maya's house to stay there for a night. When they were walking, Maya felt so weak since she healed two people at a time.

Her energy was so low at that time, and due to that, she still felt dizzy.

When she was about to trip, someone held her hand from behind, and she looked back to see who it was, only to find it was Jaebin.

He was not looking at her; he was looking in the other direction, but he was still holding her hand, which made Maya's heart race.

When they arrived at her house, she offered them food she had discovered on trees, some of which had been stolen.

They also brought some food with them, so they all shared each other's food.

When they all were eating their food and chitchatting, Maya saw Minho pull out a snack from his bag; it was the same snack that she liked so much.

She was looking at that snack nonstop.

Minho thought, "Why is she looking at my snack so hungrily?" "Does she want it?"

When she saw that Minho was watching her, she said with a sly smile, "I may look like I’m having deep thought, but 99% of the time I’m thinking about how to snatch this packet from you."

She continued, "Hungry me is a different person; I don’t know her; I’m sorry; also, hungry is my spirit animal."

"What the-" Everyone was too stunned to speak when they heard her. "Maya, are you ok?" Everyone thought and then laughed with Maya.
