Capital City

At the capital, the largest military base in the country, thousands of refugees are gathered, leaving them with a hard time finding and distributing food.

Many died of hunger, and some even sold their family members for food. Teenagers even sold their bodies just for a piece of bread; they would even kill someone for you.

There are 3 places in the city: the inner city, where things are rich; this is where the high-profile people are; the middle, where the people who have "use" in the city are; and the third, where the refugees are.

Illegal selling, brothels, and many dark things are in here, and this is where we are: Souta, Shana, Amy, and Steff. We are at the third edge of the city, where many illegal actions are common.

Why are we here? It is to buy slaves because, as I said earlier, people sell themselves or others for food, so buying slaves is cheaper.

Being a slave will strip you of all your rights; you can be killed anytime by your owner, and no one will bat an eye.

No one cares if they saw a slave being raped or killed, young or old; they're all the same, after all, and we came to buy at the slave merchant.

"How much for a regular slave?" We are all in coats to hide our identities; "one bread is enough," "how many cans of food can get?" "Can food?! "You can get 10 slaves for a can of food!"

"I see... I want you to contact as many slave merchants as you can because I'm buying them all," Shana says, then opens the box of canned food in front of the merchant.

The merchant smiled, "Then we have a deal." They both shake hands, "Taking that many slaves will get the attention of the military, so how about we meet at the coast at the beach?"

"what?? but that beach is full of zombies!" "As a businessman, you need to get the trust of your partner, so I'm leaving his whole box of canned food here as a gift," then after that, Souta and the others leave.

"Are we leaving?" Amy said "yes." I replied, "But it's too soon!" "Can we at least explore the city?" I patted her head and said, "Amy, there's nothing fun in exploring hell."

"hell...?" Amy can't still get it, so Steff explains it: "Souta called it hell because this city might be a safe base, but living here is harder than living outside."

"I see..." "I pity them." Ashley said, "We can't do anything for now; it's the people's choice to join the military base." "I can see why Souta didn't go to the military base," Amy said.

"Where's lucky to have Souta doesn't?" Steff said, "Yeah!" The three of them cling to each other in South America and leave the city without any trouble.

At midnight on the beach, the slave merchant came. "I'm surprised to think that you have the power to clear this whole area," the slave merchant said.

"My name is Bobby, and as per request, I came here with many slave merchants; some didn't agree since they don't want to go to the beach."

"It's okay, how many slaves are there?"

"around 3000 slaves." "How did you move that many people at once?" "I too have a connection," she said and winked at me.

As the deal suggested, I gave them boxes of canned food, and they were all pleased with it. "Contact us if ever you have large amounts of slaves; also, here's some gifting: a small box of medicine."

Food is rare in this kind of world, and so is medicine. "You've already got my favor, so you don't have to give me that." "Ho? "for a merchant to refuse a box of medicine"

"As a merchant, I also have pride; with your power to clean this area, I wouldn't be surprised if you killed us and robbed our merchandise, yet you didn't."

"I'll get you intact with the latest news I can find." I look at him and say, "It's a deal then." After all that, we went to the base to get the slaves. We came with 2 warships and a cruise ship for them to stay on.

As usual, we treated them nicely and fed them; this time the slaves are under Shanna to train as assassins.

Slaves have their trauma, so trusting us won't be easy, but for them to go through that trauma, they need someone who has experienced trauma and has gone through it.

3000 people becoming assassins is still not enough; they would probably fully train in half a year. With that being said, our food supply won't last for a year.

I need to solve this fast.
