Chapter 16: First loyal subordinate

Then Vikram let his body fall on her, both of them stayed like that for long time and fall asleep as they depleted all their power.

With morning breeze comes new day, Vikram open his eyes , it's all bright outside. Sun was up in the sky. he was again late for family breakfast. With panic he went to bathroom to get ready quickly.

By looking at old bathroom without any accessory except one wooden bucket and one water container.

He is seek of seeing this shit hole bathroom.

He thought, ' I first need to fix this bathroom, it's not hygienic to use bathroom such as this. Also need to make soap for cleaning.'

In this time, most of the people don't know the concept of keeping hygiene. He is son of baron. Still in his house, there is no such thing like soap to clean there dirt. He has to use multani soft sand to rub off dead skin and soap nuts (berries) water along with vegetable sainted oil to keep the smell away.

'Annnhhhh, It feel's so backward in here.'

It is difficult to imagine common people can have sainted oil and expensive cleaning multani sand. They should be using soap nut's (berries) water. how can common people even think about keeping basic hygiene level.

'I need to work hard, I need to change this scenario as soon as possible. I will start with myself'

With this thought in mind he clean himself up and went to have sumptuous breakfast. As usual I was again late. Father scold me for sometime then everyone get busy with their own breakfast.

I looked at father for some time,

'Man, today is not a good day present my masterpiece blueprints to father, he seems to be really pissed at me for some reason'

After breakfast, he went to his daily exercise routine. While exercising he decided to make soap today.

he quickly log in to his [Overall information system], search process of making soap and here comes the result.

Soap making is very simple he needs following things :

1) Iye ( sodium hydroxide)

2) Distill water

3) Natural salt

4) Sodium carbonate- can obtain from mining area or limestone

5) Animal fat or vegetable oil.

With end of exercise session, he went to his courtyard

"Shila, come outside." He called her with loud voice.

"Y-Yes my lord" looking at his serious look Shila panic inwardly.

" Where is the money that I gave you all this years, I need them, bring them here."

With that said Shila's body went numb, she has been spending his money luxuriously all this year,

'I only have 10 gold coins at most from all the allowances, now how can I bring all that money on table' She started having dizziness.

"Come on don't just stand there, go bring me the money"

In Empire 4 currency are currently in use, 1 platinum coin- 100 gold coin, 1 gold coin-100 silver coin , 1 silver coin- 100 copper coin.

Copper is lowest coin for exchange, and platinum coin is highest coin in value. Common family of 4 can comfortably live for full year with just two gold coin. Imagine spending 60 gold coin in just 3 years by mere servant.

"You spent 60 gold coin in mere 3 years, and that money was not yours to spent in the first place." He spoke with angry voice.

she tears falling from her face, " Young master please forgive me this once, I will never do such thing in future."

"Future? It is serious crime to horde money from your master. Punishment for such crime is death."

With that being said , Shila got horrified on spot, in panic state she started kowtowing , "M-My lord, P-Please forgive me this once, N-No No, I-I don't want to die, I will do anything for you?"

he was very angry at this slave for hording this much money from his predecessor, He look at her pathetic condition, lift her up by grabing her face, looking at her eyes,

"ANYTHING?" He said with threatening voice.

"Y-Yes, yes, my lord anything"

"If I tell you to go and spy on my father for me then?"

With that being said she fell into thought, without saying anything she just stay silent.

"That's what I thought, You are useless to me, anyone can warm up my bed if I wanted, What good will happen by keeping traitor like you by my side, It is good that I send you my father with this charges, and let him decide what he want to do with you by family rule" He said in one breath, push her away one ground once again.

Shila was really in panic state right now, 'I don't have money, I don't have anyone's support, if I were to send to lord Baron, he will surely hang me for this crime, What do I do? How can I be saved?'

In her desperate situation she said

" I will do it, my lord. I am willing to do anything you ask me to do?"

"OOhh? Are you willing to take oath on God Shiva to stay only loyal to be in life and death?"

With that being said she fell to the ground again.

Vikram got perplexed at a spot, he never thought she would take such harsh Oath, Now her soul is bound to me, I can do anything to her if want to.

Vikram bend forward lifting her up, Gently patting her head to relax her, " Go get those 10 gold coin for now." He said in calm voice.

"O-Okay, master" Her voice was still shaking, but she collected herself and went headed in her room's direction

Vikram sat there thinking about incident just transpired, after some time, ' I really got lucky to have such beautiful maid, now loyal maid only to me . I need to make such loyal subordinates in future. With this I can avoid backstabbing scenarios.'

Shila didn't take much time, came running to me with glittering, shinning gold coin. Purity of gold in this era is not as good as modern day but still it is quit decent. She hand me the gold coin pouch.

"Shila go get ready, we will be heading towards city in about 15 minutes." He said.

Both of them went to there rooms to get ready.
