Charles vs Elizabeth (end)

Suddenly, there was an explosion inside the barrier. Charles jumped over it, smiling, while Elizabeth was bleeding. He spoke with a sadistic smile, "Hahaha, just that? Elizabeth Holmes!" She recovered from the blow and said, "I still have more!"

His innate ability, which was strengthened after becoming S-rank, could now be used from any range. She calibrated it so that the critical hit was on the skull. When she least expected it, Charles was behind her. With both fists together, he hit Elizabeth's head in a vertical blow. Right after, he went after her as she fell and took her by the face and stuck her face in the asphalt. They went down floor by floor, since the arena was on the ground floor.

After entering the basement, Charles said, "These alarms... looks like the academy thinks it's under attack hahaha." They descended from the arena to the basement, destroying every floor, resulting in massive destruction. But Charles didn't care, with the exception of Brian.

The scene now came to Elizabeth's mind. She was trying to get up and said mentally, "I know he's someone strong. But I didn't think that even though he's S-rank, the difference between our strengths would be so much." Suddenly, she was lifted by the collar of her coat, and Charles spoke softly, "Get up, I haven't had enough fun yet."

Elizabeth took advantage and attacked him using her innate skill but in a different way. She was increasing the reach and width of the attack, then turning around and attacking, she gave a lunge that managed to open a gigantic crater in the wall. But Charles was no longer there. Charles teleported to the academy campus, and Elizabeth shortened the distance by exclaiming, "Suma obliquam!" This was her strongest technique, but what exactly is this technique?

Charles smiled, and suddenly Elizabeth's rapier was releasing a dangerous mana. She calibrated it and said smiling, "To die!!!" She charged, but her target wasn't Charles, it was the entire academy!

All the students looked at two people fighting in the sky, but it was focused on a group of five people. One person said, "Hey, wasn't that the guy we hit?" What appeared to be the leader said, "I think it is. I don't know. We rolled so much in his face that I don't even remember hahaha." Suddenly, all five froze in place. The air in the atmosphere changed and Charles appeared before the five who were isolated from the rest of the students, and said smiling, "You're very lucky hahaha. The boy said he couldn't kill anyone, but I want to test the destructive power of that girl's technique. And I don't think he would care if you live or die. Hahaha. It's almost here."

Elizabeth's innate ability works like this: the smaller the width and range of the attack, the greater the speed. And the greater the range and width, the lower its speed. But she has another thing about this technique: the greater the range and width, the heavier the attack would be. She who was using this technique throughout the school, the weight of her attack would be something absurd. I think you already know what I'm getting at.

The five students were desperate to see the attack coming, but they didn't dare to run. The mysterious being, for some reason, seemed worse than the giant attack that was to come. Some of them were scared, and Charles sadistically said, "It's coming! Hahaha." A student took courage and started to run. Everyone looked at that, and Charles smiled.

The boy who ran desperately felt something strange. In the blink of an eye, he was being cut in half, and Charles said, "Didn't I say you would be my guinea pig? Why are you running away?" Charles looked at the four students and said, "You know what? Everyone is going to die but one. So, I'm going to revive them all, understand Thomas?" The students looked up and saw the attack just over two meters away. Charles showed his middle finger and teleported away.

Elizabeth's attack engulfed the school. Everyone present was crushed to minced meat, with the exception of Brian. Charles appeared behind Elizabeth. She looked at the being in front of her and said, "Would this attack hurt you?" Charles smiled and said, "It might be." She heard the answer, and a smile could be seen on her face. She who was flying in the air suddenly started to fall. Before she could get down, Charles held her gently and told her, "You used a lot of mana on your last attack. Looks like you managed to kill everyone. Congratulations."

She smiled at Charles and said in a sad tone, "I know. I ended up hurting a lot of people. Because of my pride, I'm pathetic, aren't I?" Charles thought about the answer and said, "You try too hard, expecting a compliment. I think that's what 'picking a side' means. In a society, every moment someone is being judged for not being perfect, be it a beggar, a garbage man or a simple hardworking. Living in a group only serves to measure the value of each one. You always tried to show your value to someone, but it seems that you never succeeded."

Elizabeth heard those words while she was in Charles's arms and spoke in a sad tone: "Yes... I think you're right."

Charles looked her in the eyes and said, "But at least I had fun. Since I came into this world, of all the people I faced, you were the most fun. So smile, you're strong!"

She heard those words and suddenly tears began to flow from her eyes. Burying her head in Charles's chest, she cried. She, who had never experienced a simple compliment or felt the love of a mother or father, thought that one day she would be accepted by her family if she became strong and proved her worth. But even after becoming a D-rank at the age of 16, her father said it was nothing more than an obligation "as the daughter of the strongest man in the world." After this event, she would change...

Charles looked at her and placed his hand on her head, saying in a calm tone, "Sleep, child."

Elizabeth fell asleep, and Charles teleported her to her room in the academy. He said, "I'm going to clean up my mess now."

Thomas spoke to Charles, "I think it's good! But why did you kill those people? Didn't you say you wouldn't kill anyone?"

Charles listened to Thomas' complaints and said, "Are you going to tell me you didn't like watching them die?"

"They didn't deserve such a death!" Thomas replied.

Charles sighed and said, "Okay, okay, let's start by erasing those students from existence and going back in time. But I'll allow Elizabeth to keep her memories of that time. You're not going to say anything about me erasing those guys from existence?"

Thomas suddenly said naively, "Let's go! There's no time to think!"

Charles smiled and snapped his fingers...
