Victor found out painfully that Ulric's goal from the very start had never been to live in peace and harmony. But rather, his goal was to take Victor's position as Alpha, and take Allison as his wife.

The Story was that Allison, as the only child of an Alpha was supposed to take over the position as head of the Werewolf clan, but Ulric would not have such a thing. 

Then again, he could not make any attempt on her life, after all, she was protected by a very strong Deep level Demon. 

Allison had found favor in the eyes of one of Mr Augustus's children. She had found favor in the eyes of Agnes, and Agnes was known to be a very difficult person to please.

She had destroyed settlements and even threatened the former alpha by the neck at one time. 

With such a backer, no one was foolish enough to stand against Allison's rule of the Ironback Werewolf clan.
