Fast & Furious

"Shit... Shit... Shit..." With even the hairs on my ass completely standing on end, hot blood streaming down my forehead, and my heart pounding in my chest as hard as a jackhammer, I curse in the most sincere way I've ever done in my life.

Sitting in the passenger seat of a VW Golf, or what's left of it after crashing head-on into a tree, the only other human present is the completely knocked out and possibly seriously injured driver next to me.

And notice, I said "the only other human"... Outside the car, looking through the remaining half of the rear view mirror, is a humanoid figure with gray skin and semi-transparent body. A bloody haunting worthy of a horror movie, only totally real.

Oh shit, that's how I got here.

(A/N: Reference to Chapter 1)

'I don't want to die.' That primitive instinct that is embedded in the soul of every living animal is what gives them strength to persist in the most desperate situations, and with me it's no different.

Ignoring the blood on my face and the taste of it in my mouth, I look for the spanner from earlier, taking it in my right hand.

'Damn, in the series the ghosts took a while to return to manifest their forms after being hit with iron... But it returned almost immediately.'

Turning my gaze to the rearview mirror, Constance disappears out of the car as if on a glitch and reappears in the seat behind me. Appearance of her 'blinking' between human and true form.

I look once more at the unconscious Troy, a man around 150 pounds, too heavy even for my peak self to run with, let alone with myself injured.

'There's no way I can get us both out of this... Sorry buddy.'

Realizing these thoughts in a few moments due to adrenaline, I make my decision.

'Knock, open the door and run... I'm not the main target, I have a good chance of surviving if I distance myself from the car.'

Firming my fingers on the rusty iron tool, I turn and a second time make a move to strike the ghost in the backseat... But my strike is parried.

When halfway across, it's like an invisible handcuff wraps around and stops my arm. I immediately correlate it with one of Constance's files.

'Telekinesis.'

After blocking my arm, Constance herself in her haunting form cuts through my seat and forces my chest and face against the front of the car. Without pausing, I feel like five scalding knives being thrust into my back.

"ARRGH!" I scream like I've never screamed before, my fingers gripping the spanner loosen In the face of the excruciating pain and the tool flies through the car window as it's propelled by the unseen force.

Constance's five fingers on my back feel like they are simultaneously ripping and burning the muscles and bones in my spine, I've never felt even 1/4 of this pain in my entire life. I desperately try to break free, but in the face of the overwhelming force of a supernatural being only my screams of pain manage to run free.

Seconds pass that felt like minutes of torture, my struggle weakens and my consciousness fades again.

.

.

.

An unknown amount of time later, the sounds of the tires rolling down the road and the wind rushing into the car through the completely detonated windshield wake me up yet again.

I move my aching jaw slowly, the blood that had pooled in my mouth drops directly onto the part of the steering system that my upper body is sprawled over.

"Aarh…" My back creaks and aches at the slightest attempt to move, causing me to clench my teeth just to lift my head and shoulders, leaning back wearily against the back of the seat.

My crooked nose, taking on a more purplish color, is blocked by both blood and swelling, leaving me breathing heavily through my mouth.

Troy is still slumped and completely unconscious in the driver's seat. The car is driving completely on its own along the highway, going fast.

...I notice a sensation of icy breath next to my head.

'I don't want to look, I don't want to look...'

I'm afraid because I know exactly what I'm going to see.

Looking up a little further, through the remaining shards of the rearview mirror, I get a partial view of the pale, woman-shaped monstrosity. She's not sitting in the backseats, but clinging directly to the backs of ours, each of her ugly, bony hands gripping mine and Troy's.

'Fucking hell!'

I close my eyes, sharply turning my face down and trying to shrink my body into this horror movie vision. My body aches of course, but I'm terrified.

I begin to hear the sounds of movement inside the car. 'Is she doing something?' My chest freezes even more with the continued movements.

'I'm going to die. I'm going to fucking die...'

"Uh..." A moan, very different from the woman in white, a masculine moan.

"...Troy?" I open my eyes slowly and call, trying not to react to having a ghost literally glued to our backs.

"Uh... What?" It really is Troy, the sounds of movement was him moving as he finally woke up.

He lifts his head from the steering wheel, turning his face, covered in blood that has oozed from a not-so-pretty wound on his forehead, towards the road, noticing the car moving without him even moving the steering wheel or stepping on the accelerator, then he turns to look in my direction.

"Jason?.. How the car is-" Of course, as he turns to face me, he also notices the gray and skeletal 'woman' (if you can call it that) right behind us.

"AAAAAAH! WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS JAS-" He scream and immediately in fright uses all his strength to try to turn the steering wheel, but it's obvious that the instrument moves very little by his human strength, just making the car rock slightly.

And só the Constance's response to his actions is obvious too.

"Take-me-..." Disappearing from behind our seats, she quickly appears over his lap. "Home!" Just as I believe she did with my back before, the woman in white penetrates Troy's chest with the five fingers of her straight hand, each one as long as daggers.

"AAAAAARHHH! HELP! HAAAAAAAARG!" He screams in pain at the vicious attack, even louder than I screamed when she came at me. A mixture of pain and fear on my friend's face, completely overwhelmed by this spectral monstrosity.

Not being able to see and hear this horrific scene, I look around desperately to find something, anything. When I see a screwdriver lying between our pews; probably the toolbox opened and spilled them all over the car during the impact with the tree.

"Let him go!" Taking the tool in my left hand, I call out to the ghost in a scream in order to give myself the courage to act in this situation.

It works, because I instantly lunge at Constance to plant the screwdriver in her heart.

However, I can't...

Again, all the woman in white has to do is direct a glance at me to again stop my arm completely in the air with her telekinesis.

Soon after, she releases Troy as I had asked, but advances on me.

The force of her push manages to break my seat, sending me with my head on the backseat and my body on the floor of the car.

Already greatly injured in my back, I writhe in pain right there, but she is not satisfied with that, wiggling her fingers in the form of claws and opening five bloody gashes in my chest, making me agonize even more.

"Jason!" Troy calls out to me in concern, only serving to draw the ghost's attention to him once more. She pins him by the throat against the seat.

"Take me soon... home." She repeats once more.

Troy tries to scream or say something, but his throat is crushed by superhuman strength.

I'm lying on the floor of the car, injured and almost without strength... But still conscious enough to speak. "Fine! We'll get you home!" I breathe hard. "You won! We'll take you there!"

Constance looks at me, my face and voice showing surrender... Then she disappears from Troy, reappearing in the back seat next to where I'm lying, she's back in human form.

*Coff cough* The driver coughs and breathes free of her grip, before casting an apprehensive look in my direction and then one of complete fear at Constance. He puts his hands on the steering wheel and goes back to driving.

.

.

.

A few minutes later, the car is rocking more than before, we are probably driving down the short unpaved stretch before the former home of Constance Welch and her family.

"S-once we get there... You'll leave us alone, right?" Troy stutters looking at Constance through the fragments of the rearview mirror, no longer a trace of the excitement he had before, just possessing dread for the woman's figure.

"Unfaithful men?.." She speaks calmly and almost whispers her first line of dialogue that does not involve the word home, and slowly moves her head from side to side.

Troy's body shakes as he understands the message, complete desperation taking over her, his foot on the accelerator begins to slacken.

"Take her to home!" I, still on the floor of the car, yell at him with part of the last strength I feel I have.

He turns to look at me, his face pretty much saying how pointless it seems for him to just drive there if we're going to die anyway, and I return him a serious expression, still with a glimmer of hope.

"Come in... with everything." Now that it's impossible to run away from it, we can only do as the Winchester brothers did.

He happily seems to understand what I mean and once again gives me the vote of confidence, nodding and continuing to drive.

.

.

.

It doesn't take another three minutes on the dirt road until the car's only working headlight illuminates a clearing among the trees in the distance, where there is a wooden house. It's big, it may have been pretty once, but now it's old and falling apart.

Troy glances my way out of the corner of his eye, I catch it and nod.

'Go deep man, end it.'

His foot presses the accelerator all the way down, advancing toward the house. Lying on the floor, I close my eyes and wait for the impact.

When Troy's car is going full throttle, just a few meters from reaching the house, the car brakes instantly. The tires skid due to the impulse, but soon the vehicle is stopped and the front part collides with the entrance of the house, unable to get in.

Realizing once again something is wrong, I open my eyes.

"...I can't go back home."

Constance now sitting on what's left of the passenger seat next to the driver, speaks in a saddened tone while visibly with her left hand on the handbrake, keeping it pulled all the way.

'She got us... She totally got us.'

I can also see the completely dying hopes in Troy from what little I can see of his face.

I take a look at the corner of my vision.

'41%... Not even halfway.'

I closes my eyes and sketches a painful ironic smile on my face, completely surrendering to death.

Not even the method used in the series worked... I mean, how the hell is it supposed to work? She has super strength, teleportation and a telekinesis that can control the car at will, only with a super powerful plot armor to get her to let us just take her inside the house she doesn't want to enter.

'Is finished.'

Now all that's left is to wait for her to kill us. I drag my hand with difficulty across the floor trying to bring it to my face, but on the way I bump into an object.

Looking in that direction, I see that it's the same screwdriver I tried to use on Constance earlier. My countenance glows for a moment before fading again...

'No use... It only worked the first time, She it'll just stop my arm in the air again.'

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. That's what I think about in this situation... That is, until I see a small rusty Allen key next to the screwdriver.
