chaos

~Sigh~ I'm bored!

We're currently in our second meeting of day 1 and it's the exact same as the first session, a waste of time. Class A have sworn to silence, class D doesn't like that, class C are trying to antagonize everyone and my class are just keeping to themselves.

I made it clear that I wouldn't try to pull anything for the duration of this exam but I might have to just to give my brain a bit of stimulation.

My classmates in the dragon group consist of Rayuji Kanzaki, Sayo Ando and Hitomi Tsube. I've given Kanzaki full control over our group for the exam.

Class A consists of Ryuen Kakeru, Takumi Oda, Hidetoshi Suzuki and Misashi Sonoda. As I have previously stated, they just out to antagonize all of us.

And that's my life right now, I have Takumi and Misashi non-stop throwing insults left and right. every other one being aimed at me personally. I am not having fun.

It was now that I had finally broken from holding the moral high ground, and yes there is good reason to it. They said the unthinkable, "Hey midget, what's it like being so small?"

Ryuen's eyes snapped over to Misashi's form and he stood up to get between me and Mishashi, and it's a good thing he did.

"Hey, you throw a good punch woman." It's true, I threw a punch straight for Misashi's throat. Not full force of course but it is enough to cause some bruising on Ryuen's palm. "I'm a good advocate for violence but throwing a punch at another womans throat is just unnecessary, don't you think?"

I didn't speak, I just sat back down. It was Suzune Horikita who spoke out next, "Are you stupid?" That question was clearly aimed at me, " You could have seriously harmed another student if Ryuen wasn't there!"

Kushida was next, "Ryuen are you okay?" That false concern was plenty obvious to Ryuen and me as we both know of her true nature by now.

"Don't you worry about me sweet heart, it was just a light punch." That was clearly meant to be a show of dominance but him hiding his hand on his lap had me smirking on the inside.

It would be rude of me not to apologize wouldn't it? "If you ever call me short again I will make it my life's mission to hunt you down, remove your legs from your torso and then we will see what it feels like to be called short understand?"

"And Horikita?" We locked eyes, "Don't ever question my intelligence when you have the social IQ of a shut in." She seemed to feel attacked by that but didn't back down.

"Insulting me and threatening another student of the dragon group will not help you when this incident is reported." Her eyes where fierce, and I have to commend her for it but I know that it's just a bluff. No one in this room is upset that I hurt Ryuen's hand as all his class has done is annoy everyone.

One think I am surprised about though is the one student from class D who hasn't spoken yet, Hirata Yosuke. I was shocked at his inaction, before he did act that is, "Lucy, it's not okay to attack or threaten other students, your doing nothing but making the exam difficult."

"Oh? Is that so? Then how about we play a series of games instead?" This will make the exam go faster.

Before Hirata could respond to me, Ryuen got there first, "What type of game are we talking?" The grin on his face.

Katsuragi also showed interest in this game of mine, "Class A will not participate."

Ryuen seemed to catch on to his true thought process though, "The fact you're speaking proves that your interested though. Are you so bored you would break that rule of silence you set for yourself? How unbecoming of a leader." Of course he had to throw in an insult.

Kushida and Kanzaki both spoke at the same time, ""What game is it?"" Everyone looked at the two of them because of the coincidense.

"It's called the 'appease me or I become a traitor' game" My words shocked the entire room. "I know who the VIP is."

Kanzaki was the first to speak his mind, "Lucy you gave me control of this exam so what are you doing? Ans if you know who it is why haven't you told me?"

Horikita was the next person to oppose me, "This 'game' is stupid, it's obviously just a bluff, there's no way she knows who the VIP is." I just grinned.

// Kushida's POV //

There's no way she knows who the VIP is, right? I haven't told anyone but Hirata. Hirata may have told Horikita but she wouldn't tell anyone it's me so how does she know? Is this a bluff or does she really know? Damn it!

huh? Her eyes just scanned the room and lingered on me for a moment longer than on anyone else. She knows! But how?

"Horikita is right, it's just a bluff. Lucy, you shouldn't lie to everyone like that you know."

I can't let this 'game' happen, But I guess there's no way to stop it. the only problem is how do we appease her without making it seem like the VIP is in our class?

Lucy Hall, I hate you.

// Katsuragi's POV //

There are four outcomes to this exam and 3 of them include a traitor. Lucy Hall has just eliminated one of the four outcomes, the people in this room are too proud of themselves to 'appease' her like she wants.

She knows what she's doing but it's risky. A threat is no good if you can't follow up on it, so rather she knows who the VIP is or she's going to guess who it is and take a huge risk of losing 50 class points.

Her proposition also has another merit to her, the class who has the VIP will want to maximize there outcome from this exam so they wouldn't want Lucy to guess who it is, whether she guesses right or not. If the VIP where in my class we would be in a bit of trouble, but luckily none of us are the VIP.

There is also one more, however unlikely it is but the VIP might be in class B. This might just be a plot to cause chaos.

Class B holds all the cards right now.

// Ryuen's POV //

If there's one thing about Lucy I know, it's that she always follows through on her threats, she's just that type of person. A petty, vicious woman. She knows who the VIP is.

I have been trying to figure it out all day and I have some theories but I won't know if they are right until a VIP has been confirmed. Maybe I should let her out the VIP, a loss for a gain.

The only problem is; does Katsuragi have the same idea as me? I know class D doesn't.

// Ichinose's POV, Rabbit group //

The room is silent, classes A are keeping to themselves, class C is having a little 'spat' with a girl from D and my class aren't getting involved. ~Sigh~

How can I get some good conversation going? ~Ding~

My phone got a notification and when I picked it up to see what it was, I was surprised to find a message from Kanzaki about Lucy. He isn't happy that Lucy is undermining the authority he was given.

She told me that she wants different people to control there own groups instead of her making strategies for 6 different groups, she also gave Kanzaki permission to take control of the members in class B for the Dragon group. The same group she's in.

The only thing I have trouble believing about his message is that Lucy knows who the VIP is, they're not in class B, that's for sure. I asked everyone to tell me if they where the VIP or not and I trust my class.

So on top of trying to win in my own exam, I have to help Kanzaki control Lucy. ~Sigh~

There was only one way to help Kanzaki without being there physically, tell him to figure it out himself. I want to help him, I really do but if he's going to be given this kind of role in the future then he needs to be able to do things without my help.

Also I trust Lucy enough to be able to believe what she's doing is benefiting our class.

// Lucy's POV //

"I will be selling the VIP's identity." Once again the room was shocked.

"How do we know that you know who the real VIP is, what's stopping you from giving us the wrong name?" Horikita was the one to question me first.

"Tomorrow I will bring four copies of a contract with a penalty cause if the name I give is incorrect. The contract will be overseen by all the homeroom teachers." I looked at my phone and the time was 22:59:55

I changed the clock on my phone to show me the time in hour : minute : second. This was perfect timing so I went to walk out the door and opened it just as an alarm went off on everyone's phone saying that this evenings meeting was officially over.

~Ding~ A message from Ichinose came through my phone reading "I trust you know what your doing with Kazaki"

A smile appeared on my face, I could feel it. She is so much smarter than she seems. She knew I was testing Kanzaki, but it seems Kazaki almost failed my little test. Had Ichinose actually given him any information or tried to help him he would have failed and I wouldn't have given him a role like this ever again.

Being bored gave me an idea and a good one too, I want to see how Kanzaki tries to deal with a disobedient pawn.

I messaged Ichinose, "Of course I do" and a smiley face.

I was responded to with a thumbs up.

I walked back to my room, waiting for the inevitable confrontation wit Kanzaki. In the mean time I'm going to be having a good time playing this new gacha game, it's just annoying that we can't spend real money on these phones so I have to farm missions to get the in game currency so I can open packs.

If I could spend real money on it I would easily be in the top 100 players in Japan but as i'm limited, i'm capped in the top 500. ~Sigh~ I've not felt this poor in all my 16 years of living. Well my last 16 years of living ~giggle~

It took a total of 2 and a half hours for Kanzaki to muster the courage to come and rant at me. He opened my door quietly so as to not wake the others up. "Lucy, we need to talk."

I looked him in the eyes and held up a finger telling him to wait a minute, "I agree but i'm in a difficult mission right now and I need to concentrate."

Being 1:30 AM he didn't shout but just let me finish before signaling me the door. ~Sigh~ With a sigh I stood up in pajamas and walked into a long, empty hallway. This way no one could spy on us without us knowing.

I bought the two of us a soft drink and sat down on the bench in the middle of the hallway and went to tie my shoes as we are required to wear them when inside the ship. Kanzaki began his rant as I did so, "What you did in that room was disrespectful toward me and ruined any plan I had for the exam."

After I finished the bunny ears on my laces I saw a red light under the bench and realized it was a recording device, how could anyone know that we would meet here? This smells of Ryuen though.

// 1 hour prior, Ayanokoji's POV //

"So you think Lucy Hall knows who all the VIP's are?"

Horikita took a sip of water before answering me, "Think about it, there's no way she knows one on the first day without knowing the method the teachers used to choose who the VIP's are right?"

Hmmm... Her reasoning isn't bad but the possibility that it's a bluff is still there. Of course we know it's Kushida, Horikita told me even though she was supposed to keep it a secret.

We don't have much information but there is one thing I want to know, "What was her classmates reaction to her?"

Horikita had a confused look on her face, "Why does that matter?" I gave her a blank look, "Now that I think about it the purple haired guy look shocked and angry. He was the one calling the shots for their class before that incident."

"Good, then do you remember how we dealt with those class C students with the sudo case?" She nodded seemingly understanding where I'm going with this, "This time we will do the exact opposite, we will record there conversation later, they're bound to talk about it before tomorrow and you will do this by planting a recording device in the most likely spot they will talk about it."

She seemed confused now, "Where would that be? It's impossible to know that."

"No it's not, think about it. It's most likely going to be between Lucy and Kazkai and as they are opposite genders they cannot enter each others dorm room after 8 PM, so it's going to be in public space. Now to figure out the 2 most likely spots they will hold the conversation and plant our phones there and get them in the morning. to look over the recording so make sure to charge your phone for the next hour so they have enough battery to last the night and long enough to go over the recordings."

Horikita began thinking hard, "I saw Lucy and Ichinose talking the other night in a long hallway yesterday. there was no way to eavesdrop on them without being seen, and there is only one place to sit down in that hallway. We should both plant our phones in the same spot and time our phones to record at different times, we should also time them to stop recording and shut down to save battery as well."

I see where she's coming from but is doing this, limiting ourselves to one spot the right idea? Well I guess if she's given or received sensitive information at that same spot before then she may feel it safe enough to do so again.

"Good thinking, here's my phone." I handed it to her, I thought it was fine as you don't actually need the password to be able to set timers or for recording so no important information will be spilled, not that there is any.

// the next day, 6:00 AM //

We had two hours before the 3rd session began, and that would mark the half way point for this second special exam. Right now me and horikita was going through both our recordings, skipping every 5 minutes then listening to silence for another 5 minutes, only for the cycle to repeat.

*"So, do you really know who it is?"* The voice came from Horikita's phone, clearly a male voice. Kanzaki is my best guess.

With an exchange of looks we kept silent and let the recording continue, *"Of course I do, don't be stupid"* That was undoubtedly the voice of Lucy Hall.

Kanzaki - *"Who? If I'm supposed to lead this exam then I need to know. By the way I'm not happy with what you did in there."*

Lucy - *"What I did was necessary, I just can't tell you why. As for who it is, it's Kikyo Kushida."*

Horikita went wide eyed at that information, and even I was confused on how she knew. The most likely answer is that she paid someone for the information, be it Kushida herself or even a member of staff.

Horikita paused the recording, "How would she even know? This isn't a bluff."

I responded with my honest thoughts, "She probably paid someone for the information, you could probably figure out who. The thing is we now have a massive problem, does she know all the VIP's Or just Kushida?"

Horikita couldn't believe her ears, "How on earth could she have this information? Did Kushida betray us? Or was a teacher? No, that doesn't matter right now. What matters is that she has this information in the first place."

The plan was to expect Lucy to not know who it is, then expose this by showing the dragon group this recording, but that plan has gone out the window. "Well we can't compete in an auction for the name of the VIP just so the other classes don't get it as they have more private points than us."

Horikita put her own 2 cents in, "There's also the fact that class B can give the school the name of our VIP any time they want."

It was at this moment that I realized something, "Unless they can't." She gave me a questioning look, "I see two possibilities, possibility number 1:"

// Lucy's POV //

It's 8 in the morning and by the look of calmness on Horikita's face I can deduce that my thoughts where on the right track, they thing that there are only two possibilities to my plan.

// Ayanokoji and Lucy //

"Possibility number 1; She/I want to sell the name before entering the name myself to maximize the number of points I receive. Possibility number 2 is that she doesn't know who the VIP is and it was just a lucky guess."

// Lucy's POV //

But what they don't know? They don't know that I just want to stir up a bit of chaos.

I don't know why but I just got a feeling of anticipation. It's the same feeling I had when Light Yagami and L had their stand offs, ooo I'm going to re watch Deathnote over the next few days.
