Grandpa and four other officials or commanders he was able to higher, gathered up in the middle of the main room. The main room had a large screen located on the front wall.
Inside the room were a bunch of other electronic tablet like tables. The entire room was filled with a bunch of other electronic resources.
"We can only guess that they have guards of some sort guarding their base."
"That would depend on how big they are as an organisation." Commander Rayy wondered.
"The cult existed for who-knows how long, we can only guess and wonder." Commander Saige noted.
"The cult even managed to break through the walls of one of the most secure families." Commander Craig analysed.
Commander ray steps forward, "I say we head straight in there." She suggested.
"Too risky of a plan." Stirfield pointed out, "The cult would be prepared for such an attack."
"And how are you so sure about that?" Rayy raised a question.
Grandpa stops Stirfield before he could speak, "Think of them thinking the same thing; bringing their best teams and attacking us straight forward, do you think we won't be prepared?"
"Well- we would but-"
"-that's exact why that type of plan won't work. I won't lie to you right now, this is difficult."
"Mutants..." Craig looked at his hand, "I understand that we don't have much rights in the world, but what their doing is exactly why people are afraid of us."
"It's sad to take note of, but don't be down." Grandpa approached Craig and placed a hand on his shoulder, "We humans turned our own kind into slaves, we raped and killed for our selfish desires, so at the end of the day we're pretty much way worse than your people will ever be."
A light smile approached Craig. "Thanks old man. But I think that boy of yours is who you should be giving a pep talk to."
"It's about time I do."
0verspeed was making a bunch of rounds around the perimeter of their base. He stopped strong when he noticed his grandpa watching him.
0verspeed made a couple of more rounds before moving over to grandpa.
"What's up?"
"We need to talk."
➜ [ Moments Later ]
The room was cold. Cameron sat on a wooden chair and opposite him was his grandpa who sat on a chair that fit the white color of the room.
"Whats got you down now kiddo?"
"Is this why you wanted to talk? You think something has got me upset?"
"I never said that something made you upset, I just asked why are you down; that could mean many things, for one you're sitting down."
Cameron chuckles a bit, "Oh grandpa. What's got me down? That's a simple answer isn't grandpa?"
"I'm starting to believe our definitions of simple may just be different."
"Grandpa I failed. No. I'm failing grandpa. I have a device that was coined the greatest weapon in the galaxy, and I still failed to save my own cousin, I still failed to save- save Aiden..."
"I understand the Katherine situation and believe me I'm crying in the inside, but this Aiden boy. Instead of mentioning Katherine's name last, you mentioned his name. Is he more important to you than Katherine or?"
"No it's not like that. Same here, believe me when I tell you that I was mad as fuck when I found out that Katherine was gone. But what angered me more was the fact that Aiden, somebody she trusted was the reason she was captured."
"And that upsets you?"
"No, no, no, Grandpa that frustrates me. Katherine- I'm clueless sometimes, but I could see that we were like growing closer. My bestfriend and my sister becoming friends it's like when I'm around Ruby-"
"-so this is about Ruby?"
"No grandpa I'm not done. He acted super different, he acted more comfortable when she was there and somehow we all grew closer and kinda trusted one another... Now to just have someone you trust stab you in the back is- is- fucking heartbreaking grandpa. When I was fighting Aiden I tried to to reason with him, I tried breaking him out of the trance he was in, now the reason I say I tried is because I was also trying to well beat him senseless."
"I hear you boy."
"I was throwing everything I had at him, with no knowledge whether he would survive or not. Damn It! I feel like a failure because I failed to save Katherine, I feel like a failure because I failed to avenge Katherine, I feel like a failure because I tried hurting someone I cared about, I feel like a failure because I failed in helping someone I cared about... Aiden- Aiden told me how he was suffering and i- I don't even think I was listening... I just wanted him to pay, but I also wanted to be friends with him."
"Then we're done here?"
Taking in a deep breath, Cameron looked up to his grandpa feeling a bit more light.
"...yeah... I- how did you?"
"I don't have all the answers in the world, and I know the answers I do have as good as they are won't be able to help you, but sometimes venting is the best way to lay down and be calm."
"Yeah it is."
"Either way that does not mean I won't give you advice; the best you can do right now is face those problems, confront Aiden and face those problems with a clear head."
"I sometimes feel like having this watch is a curse is something you know."
"It's a gift from the universe. Even a curse from the universe if used in the right way can turn out to be the best gift ever."
A cloud of smoke pushed into the room they were in, the smoke cloud originated from the entrance into the main room. A mutated agent stood in front of the commanders.
Craig lifted his gun, but of course he didn't want to shoot his people so he lowered it. Rayy to the dismay of Stirfield rushed in after the mutated agent and he rushed in to meet her in the middle.
CrashSpring broke through the smoke and bashed heads with the mutated soldier. The grass hopper alien leaped back glaring at the mutated agent.
"One of ours?" CrashSpring asked, still holding his gaze at the mutant.
"We don't know why he's like this."
"And we don't know why he's rampaging."
The mutant sprinted at CrashSpring who moved in with a double-foot-kick to the mutants face.
"I know mutants are known for their rampages, but still."
Grandpa shot the mutant in the eye blinding him long enough for CrashSpring to charge in with a headbutt to the stomach of the mutant. The mutant was sent flying out the room and into a wall unconscious.
CrashSpring turns with a thumbs up, "Mission complete."
➜ [ Middleton [ Davenport Residentials]
Cheers sounded throughout the Davenport Residentials. A bunch of cultists stood besides one another cheering for their masked master.
"My fellow jems... We are entering a whole new age today, a new age of this planet called earth. The machine that will change our future for the better is complete!"
The cultist cheered.
"Now, now, let's not get too excited. We first need to survive the war, yes the war. Apparently we have enemies... We don't know who they are exactly, but we caught them snooping through our base. But of course we dealt with it. The man proved troublesome, a single man proved troublesome, whoever those people are my guts are saying we can not underestimate them. Which comes to my point; many of you had some disagreements with the over protection idea, but do you see why it's needed? That's why by tomorrow the protections will be up once more."
The cultist jumped in joy.
"Now to leave you all satisfied... The new world is only an arm reach away, nothing can and will stop us why? Because! We Are The Cult!"
While the commotion played on, Aiden entered Katherine's room since he was ordered with checking up on her. He had the idea of walking in and immediately walking out, but when he saw Katherine sitting alone depressed his idea changed.
He approached the glass container and placed his head against it.
"Katherine... You deserve this..."
"...and you deserve better..."
"You are part human, you're the reason why I'm doing these things, you're the reason why this whole thing is happening."
"You should leave Aiden."
"Don't you dare tell me what to do!" Aiden raised his voice, "You humans scold us for being monsters, but I feel like you've never looked yourselves in the mirror long enough."
"Why did you kill your parents?"
"Because they tried killing me first... They raised their weapon against me, and I raised my entire body at them."
"Aiden..."
"I know you're trying to persuade me to turn to your side. I will not fall for your tricks, I won't fall for anybodies tricks. I refuse to be left broken hearted, I refuse to lack behind a human or to be treated lesser than an out of world native... Mutants will be the new world, mutant-"
"-Do you hate me?"
Aiden paused.
"You're ideals are mixed... Are they over complicated... Give me a real answer; give me the reason why you're really doing this?"
It took him awhile to finally open, but after a few moments of silence Aiden sighed.
"If everyone is seen as monsters, then maybe, just maybe I'll be able to experience how it really feels to be normal... In other words... I don't want to be a monster."
"Before you were never one... But now..."
Aiden noticed his reflection in the glass and almost cringed. He held back his anger and turned to the door and left.
➜ [ Moments Later ]
The door opened and Katherine didn't flinch abit. She stayed in her zen state.
"I know how you're feeling." Xene spoke. "Being stuck in a cage, like an animal..."
Silence surrounded the room.
"We don't have much to talk about do we? Can I just say to you, I apologise. I know it sounds emotionless coming from me, but I can't change that... They made me like this, they made me this robotic cyborg kid who will always be seen as a bossy crap."
"Been there... People thinking that you're one thing, but you're something else deep inside."
"I'm not trying to get sentimental by the way, I'm just trying to up your mood. Because contrary to popular belief; I actually have a heart."
"Where is it now?"
"Locked away. When you've been through the things I had to go through at a young age, locking your heart away is the best option."
"I believe you... You took Aiden in after all."
"Yeah... I did... It's not like I had much of a choice, I saw a lot of myself inside Aiden. Someone who only learned to grow up a certain way, someone being forced into doing things they would never have thought they would end up doing when they were little..."
"Why are you even a part of this?"
"I almost died Katherine, and mother saved me. By making me part-human she saved me from dying... And because I was raised in the worst way, I learned that loyalty is key. The time I break that is the time my emotions force me to change for the better."
"Understandable."
"I'm sorry Katherine... But a mission is a mission, what is done is done, I had to do what I had to do."
"Okay."

A small load of troopers stood in the main room, with them were; Marcy, the four commanders, Static-Brain, Grandpa and two generals.
He pressed a remote control in his hand and video started playing; the video visualised an image of The leading masked person standing in the center of dark room, besides the person was the masked man met at the city.
"-the point I'm trying to say is... We Are The Cult! And You Asked For War!"
"The chip you were able to retrieve owns all the information we need?" One of the generals raised a question.
"Our troops aren't even ready, if this means what I think it means, then..." One of the generals pondered.
"Ready or not, we're still coming, because if we don't strike now, they will find us and strike first. Today is the day we thrash in and attack them, there's no more training. From today on you've all passed you test and have become official Peacemakers."
"It's a better time than any." Stirfield noted.
"I have made a thorough rubric play-out of their base, we are not ready, but we are more than prepared." Static-Brain revealed.
