Chapter 2 - I woke up like this

Ugh"

Someone let out a slight groan. It sounded close like it was from him, but he couldn't be sure. He slowly started to open his eyes. He got up and started to look around

"Where am I?"

He heard his voice, it sounded different for some reason. He had a strong accent now (if you want to know what it sounds like it's more of a slightly deep British accent).

He didn't know why his voice was different, nor where he was. He only knew that his neck hurt more than usual and that he had a slight head ache. But he then started to recall what happened just moments before he awoke.

He was stabbed to death (A bit like Julius Caesar). He was in a Meeting deciding who would be the next General of the Army, then as he was going to bring who he would recommend for that position he was suddenly assassinated.

'Damn what a cool but pathetic way to die.' he thought.

He remembered that his name was Saito, Anzhong Saito. He was a Major General in the Army. He wasn't exactly the best nor friendliest person. He then started to recall that most people didn't like him because he often didn't really show any respect to the people around him unless they were hire-ups. Those people also said I was a terrible person and acted quite mean and evil. Though he never noticed or paid attention to that.

'Ah, that must have been why. They didn't want me General because nobody liked my shit personality, I also probably disrespected a lot of people who had the same position or higher so they could have also hired assassins to kill me' He thought while trying to think of a reason he could've been killed

"I need to collect my thoughts for a second"

Saito found a large stone by the wall and sat down. He then started to think of where he was and why he was alive, also why his voice was different and he felt shorter.

'Did I reincarnate? No, I couldn't have, because this person was already alive, then perhaps transmigration?' He thought while still unsure of what was going on

He then started to have flashbacks, they weren't of what he had gone through or seen. They belonged to the body he was currently in. He learned that the original owner of this body was named Lev Griffins and that he was the adopted son of the Griffins family. The Griffins family had a Count Status, the Head of the family was a Lt. Colonel of some of the Quade Kingdom forces.

He also learned from the flashbacks that Lev was a half-Dark-Elf and that he was also a necromancer. Lev also trained in using a scythe and a spear as well as some assassination techniques and martial arts. And that he could control a kind of Black mist and Dark mana.

Saito then recalled the reason Lev was in the cave, he came here to collect a power that had a self-healing ability named "Saint's Healing". And that he had fainted going through the test to get it, which is when Saito woke up as Lev. He also recalled that he came here with his subordinate Victor Gwyneira, who was waiting for him outside.

He then heard an elegant voice with a bit of a European accent come into the cave.

"Young Master are you alright in there? You've been in there for quite some time now"

"Crap"

Saito didn't expect him to ask him anything until he came out of the cave. According to Lev's memories he had ordered him to stay out of the cave and not to interrupt the test except to ask him anything or if he heard him scream or if he felt that something was wrong, Victor was also the type to follow orders very thoroughly. So it surprised him to hear him speak.

'What do I do, no what should I say? I'm not his young master, I'm someone else in his body!'

Saito panicked a little while trying to figure out how to respond. Victor was someone who was not only very close to Lev but had been with him even before he was adopted by the Griffins family. He was sure that he would figure out something was wrong with Lev.

'Think what memories from the original Lev would tell you how to respond?'

He then remembered that whenever Lev talked to Victor it was in a nice and elegant tone.

"Ah, i'm fine i just finished and am getting my mind together after the test."

He wondered if that was alright and enough to not make him suspect anything.

"Alright, just checking. I was worried a bit since I heard no noise."

Saito then sat up and brushed himself up and made sure that hair wasn't messy, his hair was a sort of black-ish green-ish color and was Kept in a ponytail. It reminded him a bit of a Stereotype villain's hair, but he brushed that thought away.

As he was heading out of the cave he spotted a bag on the floor and realized that Lev must have brought it, So he picked it up and looked inside.

Inside was a pocket knife, a small jar of water, a bag of coins, and some bandages, he also found an ID. The ID had Lev's name, his family status, and other information he decided he would look at later.

As he was walking out of the cave he wondered what the original Lev had brought the items for, but once again he brushed that aside deciding that he would worry about that later.

Standing outside the cave was a man, standing in front of a carriage

He looked about 6 '4 if not taller, he also had Fluffy silver hair with a hint of blue in it, and black eyes. He was wearing a Butler's outfit with white gloves and had a pocket watch chain hanging out of his pocket. He was also carrying a sword. He looked a bit odd as well, with pointed ears and a pale complexion. As he opened his mouth to speak Saito noticed a small pair of fangs.

"Young master, I hope your test went well and you successfully passed."

"Ah yes I passed with flying colors, and got what I came here for!" Saito said a bit nervously knowing that Lev wasn't actually the one who passed and that since Saito, instead woke up as him meant that something went wrong with his test. But he still ended up getting the power anyway.

"Well, I hope that the thing you came here for helps you with "you know what".

Saito wondered what he was talking about but left it there not to draw suspicion

"Yes I hope so too." He once again answered nervously.

"Well, now that you have finished, let us head home, I'm sure you're very tired." Victor said pittingly

"Ah yes, I am quite tired and hungry,"

He thought that it was a good idea to go home, not only to get information of who Lev Griffins was but also about where he was and how he ended up occupying Lev's body.

As he was getting on the carriage he noticed that something had fallen out of his pocket. He paused for a minute then picked it up. It was a necklace with a charm. The charm was a crescent moon with clouds and a halo.

"Young Master are you ready to leave now," Victor said from the front of the carriage

"I'm fine…Just dropped something"

Saito then got on the carriage and they left
