Didn’t Return All Night

The two little ones cried so hard that they almost passed out in Su Ying's arms.

Their own mother had never liked them since they were young. It wasn't easy for Mother to change and like them again. They had also developed a strong dependence on her, but now they overheard Su Ying say that she was leaving.

The fear and helplessness they felt when their mother disliked them all those years ago surged up once again, making them cry uncontrollably. No matter how Su Ying placated them or assured them, they did not seem to not hear her and were immersed in their own world of sorrow.

Su Ying's heart ached terribly as she watched the two children fall asleep in her arms from exhaustion after crying so hard.

How was she to know that her words were so lethal?
