Do You Have A Boyfriend?

"But please, can't I open my eyes and follow you? I have a phobia for darkness. It frightened me so much that I want to pass out."

"No problem, but give me your hand and let us go."

They entered the lift again and they went up and stopped on the last floor.

"Come, this place is like a paradise, built to be seen by a person with a good heart. No one has the key or code to this door." He unlocked the door with his eyes and they went in.

From the first step into the art gallery, there was an aura of a different world. It was like a cave, with ancient lighting. There were so many art works on the walls of this place. It was beautiful and the fine artistic works took Elisa's fear away. It was an admiration of one artwork that led to another.

"Wow…" she exclaimed unconsciously and walked inside and Alex was intrigued. This was the expression he wished the one he will bring here will express. The artworks were engraved in the wall. She walked in and was admiring and touching them while Alex was explaining each of them to her. It was like a monument of history. Each work has a unique trance.

They toured everywhere and Elisa could not stop to appreciate the calmness of heart that her sight had done. Then they sat down in front of something that looked like a running stream. Then she quickly remembered and stood up.

"I need to go, I have a lot of housework to do. Your fiance will kill me if she finds out I have not done it."

"How quickly do you forget what I told you some seconds ago. Remember, I'm the master of this house. I make all decisions and whatever I say stands."

"But an ordinary maid shouldn't be in the garden of her master. This is the place of my mistress. I feel I'm taking her place."

Alex held Elisa's right hand and raised it to her eyes.

"From today else forth, you are no longer a maid."

"What?" She dragged her hand and widened her eyes in disbelief. Elisa couldn't take her eyes away from Alex. She could feel the closeness of heart with him even though they were only holding hands.

"Do you know how to dance?" He asked.

"Dance," she smiled and closed her mouth with her hands. She felt shy.

"Did you bring me here to dance?" She asked.

He stood up and made Elisa stand with him. They both held their hands and Alex touched a button and the calm light went away and the entire place looked like the middle of the night and a full moon was far in the sky.

"This is the most beautiful thing I have set my eyes on," she thought and both of them gently moved their body to the melodious blues.

"Am I dreaming?" She thought and felt peace for the first time since Douglas betrayed her.

After dancing for a while, they sat down again and they looked at the artificial sky.

"This is so beautiful." She said as she began to see stars appearing. Alex moved his fingers on her face and caressed her. Elisa slowly moved his face away.

"I'm sorry for touching you without your permission, but you are the right person who has taken my heart."

Elisa looked at his fingers and said,

"But you are engaged Sir."

"Stop calling me Sir, call me Alex." He paused and looked at her.

"You are right. But before we came here, I took my engagement ring. You saw it for yourself. And right now, I want to fix this ring in the hand of someone who I cherished."

"But Sir…" she paused as Alex looked at her eyes.

"Stop saying Sir."

"I'm sorry," and as she was about to continue, Alex interrupted her.

"This is not the ring I'm about to wear on you. But first, I need to know something. Do you have a boyfriend or are you in any relationship?" He looked straight into her eyes and waited for her answer.

"No. I don't have a boyfriend. But how can I be the one after your heart in the presence of your fiance? I don't think that will be possible. I can't stand to look at her."

"Elisa, calm down. You are right. But it's time to break up with her."

Elisa looked at his face with shock.

"No. No. What am I saying? What am I thinking?" She stood up and continued, "then her words will come true."

"What words?" Alex stood up with her.

"That I came into this house to take her fiance. I came as a maid, let me go as a maid. If someone did this to me, I wouldn't feel happy. I can't do that to my fellow woman."

"Stop!" Alex put his right index finger against her lips. "From the first moment I heard your voice, what happened to me?"

"I can't remember." Elisa pretended she did not remember and smiled.

"I will remind you. My glass of wine fell from my hand. It was never a mistake. You stole my heart from the very first day I heard and saw you. Today marks a great day in our lives. I can't have these feelings for anyone else. I feel complete when you are around me." He touched Elisa's hair, this time Elisa did not move her head backward, then he kissed her. This kiss was engrossed with emotions and they held themselves very tight. They kissed for up to five minutes before Alex removed his lips and said,

"Today will not pass by. I have been looking forward to this day. I want you to wait here, I'm going to my room and I will be coming back."

They smiled at each other and Alex kissed her again before leaving. He entered the lift and went down. As he was about to enter his room, James went up to him and was looking at the floor with some gesture of fear.

"What's the matter James?" His expression called for attention.

"Sir, please don't be offended. I just want to ask if you will permit me to engage Elisa. We have been lovers from the first day she came into this house. What's your thought Sir? I need your permission."

"Do you mean both of you are dating?" He asked surprisedly and could not open his door again.
