"It's more painful when you think that the person you trust and started to love is behind your pain. Just one night you dismantled me, took what I have preserved, and you changed the pace of my life. I thought I had met a savior, but I didn't know I met a demon with sheep 's clothing. You humiliated me and in fear I ran out of the hotel half naked. From the first day I saw you, you acted as if you care, but my instincts kept telling me you wanted to harm me. You drove everyone away from your house, preparing to repeat what you have done before. I hated you the most because I had the chance of begging you countless times on that fateful night, more than my ex boyfriend who sold me out when his life was at stake. The thought of that day is like a ghost fear. What I ought to enjoy became a torture. You killed my desire to make love. I no longer have the joy that aroused before making love, all I feel is panic. You told me, 'let bygones be bygones,' when you knew you were the very one who hurt my soul. I'm very glad I found out earlier. On your table is the credit card you gave me. I owe you nothing. Please stay away from me for life. It will be best for you to stay alone with a woman. Loveth must have tolerated all of these. I wouldn't have judged her as a bad person. I am very happy we all left you."
Elisa placed the letter on the table and she opened her bag and brought out the bracelet and placed it on top of the letter.
As she was about to turn towards the door, she heard the sound of a car coming towards the compound. Her heart almost fell out of her. She gently raised the gray flowered curtains and saw that it was Alex's car.
"What will I do? If he knows my plan, I'm dead." She thought and she could hear the sound of her breathing. She quickly looked through the window again and saw that he came out of the car and was walking towards the house. Elisa ran into the house and went to the door at the back and quickly opened it.
"I would have left without writing that letter?" She said to herself anxiously and came out of the house through the back door. Some few seconds later, she heard the sound of the car again. This time, she was a bit confused. She slowly walked through the left side of the house to see what was happening, and she saw that Alex had driven away. She put her hand on her chest and took a breath of relief. Elisa rushed to the express road and entered a cab.
"To the train station," she repeated those words and jumped into the back seat of the car and the young driver drove away. Elisa's mum was living about 300 km from the town she was staying.
***********
Twenty minutes later, Alex drove back to his house. He came down from his car, this time with a bunch of multicolored roses in his right hand. This was the main reason he went back. He wanted to give Elisa the rose. There was great joy in his eyes as he took the first step from his car towards the main door of his house. He opened the door and went in. He placed the rose in front of him as he walked inside.
"Honey…" he called with a sexy voice. His eyes didn't come in contact with the letter on the table at first. He was more concerned about setting his eyes on Elisa.
"Honey, where are you?" He increased his voice and entered the lift and stopped at the floor of her room.
"Honey," he knocked on her door but everywhere was quiet. He never thought otherwise. Then he held the handle of the door and pulled it open.
"Honey, where are you?"
He thought she might be taking her bath, and each step he took gave him a feeling of concern. He quickly opened the bathroom door and it was empty.
"Where has she gone to?" He thought. At that moment, he was backing her wardrobe. He took his phone and called Elisa's phone number. Her phone rang and rang, until it showed no response sign on the screen of his phone. As he turned and was about to leave the room, he saw that the doors of the wardrobe was opened and some clothes were taken from the wardrobe.
He rushed out of the room and went down. This time, he was impatient to use the lift. He entered the laundry room, there was no sign of washing.
"Honey," he shouted this time and called her phone number again. This particular time, he could hear the ringing of her phone in the direction of the sitting room. The sound of her phone immediately, relaxed his heart. He thought Elisa just entered the sitting room.
"Where did she go that she has refused to pick up her call?" He thought. He turned and the flower was still in his hand. He hid the flower on his back and with a smiling face, he left the laundry room. When he got there, he saw nobody.
"Where has she gone to again?" He thought before saying aloud.
"Honey, where are you?" He stressed his voice, showing little sign of being frustrated. He moved closer to the chair and sat down.
"Honey, please come, I have been looking for you everywhere in the house."
The excitement in his face gradually left him. After waiting for a while, he became angry. This was shown by the way he took his phone again and dialed Elisa's number. He was expecting that the phone would ring far away from him, but he was surprised that the phone started ringing on the table some feet away from him. He stood up at once and walked to the phone. When he saw the bracelet on the letter, his fingers could not grip the base of the rose and it fell down at once. He moved further and quickly picked up the letter and read it.
He spent a few minutes reading the letter and in great anger, he used his right leg and violently kicked the table in front of him and the glass table broke into several parts. He moved around the sitting room and hit his right leg with his right hand in agony. He stood again and went through the letter the second time and stamped his right leg on the floor and said,
"I would have told her everything before she found out." He walked towards the bar and took a glass of wine.
"How will I locate her when I don't know where her whereabouts?" He drank from his wine, sat down and raised her eyes towards the ceiling. Then he stood up at once and said,
"I must look for her." He drank the remaining wine in the cup and took his phone. He was checking the contacts of his phone, when he walked out of the house and was walking towards his car. He placed his phone against his right ear.
"Hello Roberson, I want you to do me a favor. Do you know the home address of the maid you sent for me?"
