Chapter 111

The door was almost shattered completely when something happened. The woman had been climbing through the hole she had made in the door when she started to scream. The pipe in her hand dropped to the floor. Delmar was confused by the screams from the three women in the room. He did not want to take any chances with the crazy woman. He leapt forward and repeatedly stabbed her with the knife. It penetrated several times. Delmar could tell when it had struck a bone. One was enough to have killed any human being. He drove the knife deep into her chest penetrating her heart. Her eyes were wide as she stared up at him. Her eyes turned from black to brown as she was falling to the floor.

Delmar looked down at the woman and shook his head in disbelief. Although he had no choice, he knew he would never be the same again after witnessing the murder victim lying on the floor. The image was burned into his brain for the rest of his life, the image of an attractive woman staring back at him with lifeless eyes. Her face was covered in blood. There was so much blood on the creamy carpet. Moments later Delmar noticed a grey mist protruding from her body. Nothing prepared him for what he witnessed next. The beautiful woman from moments ago turned into something one would expect to find in the tombs of Egypt. The only difference was that the mummy lying on the floor was not wrapped in cloth. Only the clothes she wore moments ago. The grey mist formed a ball of fusion before it shot through the wall, disappearing.

Delmar turned around and dropped the blood-smeared knife. He saw the shock on Emily and Sarah's pale faces. Both with their hands in front of their mouths. He could clearly see the resemblance between mother and daughter.

'It's over,' Delmar said with a tired voice. He slowly slid down with his back against the wall. He looked at the ceiling and breathed out a long breath through parsed lips.
