Chapter 110: Shakkis

Shabondy Archipelago grove 13

"Ok, we are here," Said Hacchi.

" Finally!" Exclaimed Luffy.

"His shop is atop one of those roots. It's been 10 years since I saw him. I hope he is still running that shop." Commented Hacchi.

"Is this guy a Fishman too?" Asked Luffy.

"No, from what I heard, he is a human," Said Camie.

They soon arrived at a circular building with a sign that reads "Shakkis rip-off bar"

"Here it is!" Said Hacchi with excitement. " I have known this man since I was a child."

"Whoa…that sign says that we are going to get ripped off" Brook pointed a the shop sign.

"I would bet that they don't get many customers." Commented Vivi.

"Are we in the right place? It says bar right there." Wonderex Luffy.

Hacchi pushed open the doors and went inside.

"Hello?, is Rayleigh Shakki still working here?"

They heard someone grunting in pain.

"Ughh…please…stop…I'll pay." The male voice said.

As they all went inside they saw a curious scene.

There was a huge man, badly beaten up and being held by the neck by a thin woman.

The woman had short black hair and had a cigarette in her mouth.

"Welcome, what will it b- oh my…"

She let go of the injured man and came running to Hacchi.

"Hacchi? Is that really you?"

"Hello, it's been a long time Shakki" Greeted Hacchi.

"It's been like 10 years already…ohh, where are my manners?. Please, take a seat, I will attend to you in a moment. First, I need to finish taking some money from these guys"

They then noticed that it wasn't just one beaten man, but there were three more on the floor.

"Don't worry, take your time" Hacchi answered casually like he was used to seeing things like this.

They sat down at the empty bar and after Shakki was done with her business, she approached them and took a seat.

Hacchi gave her a very abridged version of what he has been up to for the last 10 years, skipping over the most gruesome details.

"So you gave up the pirate life and became an honest shop owner. Good for you."

She then gave Camie a long look.

"It is very rare to see a mermaid on the surface, are you two lovers?"

"Ehhhhhhh?" Camie screamed before becoming red like a tomato.

"Is not like Im Hacchin bride or anything …yet"

"You just jumped a bit ahead there," said Pappag.

"She works at my takoyaki stand" explained Hacchi.

"Oh. I see" Shakki then looked at the Strawhats.

"Do you guys want something to drink?"

The group already had a table filled with food and drinks.

"We are fine, thank you. These beans are delicious by the way". Said Brook while taking another plate.

"I'm very sorry... I tried to stop them" Vivi looked apologetic.

Luffy had his head inside the fridge.

"There has to be more meat somewhere!"

"You guys are going through her refrigerator? What's wrong with you!?. This is not your house." Shouted Pappag.

Shakki did not seem to mind. She just smiled.

"That's fine, do as you please"

"Ah!, can't you guys control yourselves?" Cried Chopper.

"You are friends of Hacchan so is all on the house" She gave Chopper some cotton candy.

"Here, you like this, right?"

"Whoaaa" Chopper's mouth started watering as he took the candy.

"You seem to know us already," Said Vivi.

"Of course. The Strawhats are very notorious around these parts. And I like to keep myself informed." said Shakki.

"Wow, Luffy, I did not know you were famous." Said Camie.

"Although I did not know there was a skeleton in your crew."

"Brook is a very recent addition to our crew," said Vivi.

Shakki gave her an intense look.

"You have become quite famous in your own right as the former royal princess who became a pirate…among other things. Is it true that you killed the leader of the CP9 by ripping off his arms?"

Vivi shrugged." Who knows, but if I did something like that to someone it would be because that person really deserved it"

Shakki smiled at her. "I'm not judging. There was a time when I was a pirate too, you know?"

She then looked at Luffy.

"What about you, Captain? Did you really pick a fight with the entire world government?"

"I don't wanna talk about that, is a pain in the ass" Luffy continues to eat.

"Not the boasting type, huh? What a big shot. You got the same last name as the marine hero, Monkey D. Garp." Said Shakki.

"That's my grandpa" Answered Luffy.

"I figured that much. You know?...your grandpa has chased me many times in the past. During my pirate days."

"That must have been scary" Commented Luffy.

"It really was. But it's been over forty years since I have sailed the seas" commented Shakki.

"What? just how old are you?" Exclaimed Luffy in shock.

Shakki completely ignored Luffys question.

"Right now I'm just cheering on the new generation"

"By the way, Shakki -" Hacchi started.

Shakki told him to stop with a hand gesture.

"I know, you want Rayleigh to do the coating for the Strawhats ship. That's why you came back here."

Hacchi noded. "That's pretty much it."

"Well…I'm sorry to say that he is not here at the moment…"

"He is not here? But we want to go to Fishman island" Said Luffy.

"There is no way he left the island, you can look for him in bars and gambling houses around here." Suggested Shakki.

"Won't he come back if we wait here?" Asked Luffy.

"Yes…eventually. It's been six months since he left."

"What?!, six months?" Exclaimed Luffy.

"He's probably been meeting women and playing cards here and there. So Im not worried about his health or anything." Said Shakkis very casually.

"And you are okay with your husband leaving for months to gamble and have fun with other women?" Asked Vivi in disbelief.

Shakkis gave her a smile. "You are quite observant. But yes, I don't mind. I guess that packing up and leaving for long periods of time is something that former pirates do."

A.N: -If you are enjoying the fic so far. Please leave a review. I have written over 100 chapters and the fic still doesn't even have a rating because of a lack of reviews, is a bit sad.... Thank you in advance.-
