Almost At Jubilife (34)

"Fuck." I groan out. With my neck feeling absolutely horrific, I slowly but surely got into a sitting position in my tent. That wasn't the most pleasant experience in the world, but it's still better than sleeping without a tent.

Rubbing my eyes and somewhat preparing myself, I exit my tent to the sight of Brock setting up a few chairs. Slowly making my way over to him, I quietly greet him. I didn't want to wake up the other now so I?

"Hey Brock, you need help?" I ask him. Brock still in the middle of grabbing a chair out of his spatial backpack smiles. He was about to make some food it seems.

"Would be nice if you lend a hand." He says softly. Walking next to him, I grab two chairs as he takes the table.

"You usually get up at this time in the morning?" I ask curiously. Brock has been with Ash to multiple regions now, he is probably used to this already. This would be the last journey he goes on with Ash. After this he tries his best to follow his dreams which is nice.

"Yeah, I've been doing this with Ash for a little bit. How about you, I know this is your first time on a journey. You alright?" He asks. It seems that he's quite used to being the older brother of the group. Which makes sense considering how many siblings he had to take care of back at Pewter.

"I woke up with my neck killing me, doesn't help that I feel a little home sick." I respond. Brock has that chill vibe around him that you could easily open up to. I just can't help but like the guy, but it's a stretch to call him a friend right now.

I'm currently out of my comfort zone right by camping out.

"You'll be fine. But if you do feel a little lost, you can talk to me. I'd know from personal experience how hard it is to leave home." Brock says reminiscing about the past. After a bit, Brock finally places the table down. With this he starts to set up his little assortment of tools.

He was gonna make some Pokemon food and I wanted to watch him.

"How did you cope with being home sick." I ask Brock. He got a contemplative look as he tried to remember what he did. While this was happening he was crushing a few Oran berries.

"I focused on the adventure and explored many different areas, I missed my siblings a lot but knowing they were okay was what helped me go on." He said while looking up at the sky.

"There's one thing you can never trade and it's the memories you make along the journey. The moments you make with your friends is something you will cherish in the future." He says in a sort of brotherly way. Genuinely smiling at his down to earth personality, I finish setting up the rest of the chairs. The sunrise could barely be seen as the silent but warm atmosphere stayed.

This…

Honestly isn't too bad.

"It's a disaster!" Dawn shouts from the inside of her tent. Her voice waking up Ash, makes the poor kid stand up and go next to her tent.

"Don't bother Ash, her hair is probably a mess." I tell him. I wanted to save him from the screaming Dawn would give.

"I thought she was in trouble." He says confused. Looking over at Dawn's tent I quickly walked over to it. I remembered a tip that Dawn figured out. She found it out in like a few hours time but my ears are hurting, so she will need this now.

"Dawn use Piplup's [Bubble Beam]"

Soon after my words, I heard Piplup going ham with his [Bubble Beam] as a few bubbles escaped the tent.

"Thanks!" Dawn shouts after a little while.

"It's just not worth it to go nuts over hair." I hear Ash mumble out. It seems to me that the cap boy over here doesn't care about his appearance.

Ash is a cap guy confirmed.

"Isnt that a typical male response. Ash unlike your who cares how I look world, I take pride in my appearance. Get it?" Dawn shouts. Pokemon such as Piplup and Pikachu are starting to laugh for no reason at all.

'Bro Piplup is instigating a fight right now.' I thought to myself as Piplup somehow added more wood to the fire. By shouting its own name in a mocking tone, it's making Dawn speak louder.

You cant make this shit up.

While the two had an argument that for some reason could have been avoided, Brock was just chilling with his Croagunk.

"You see this is a typical morning for this crazy family, but you'll get used to it." I hear Brock tell his newly caught Croagunk. Dawn and Ash destined to clash with words again, I just take a seat and start to eat my breakfast.

Brock while peeling a potato, somehow drops it next to Croagunk.

"Hey can you get it Croagunk?" Brock asks the Pokemon. Croagunk taking a few seconds to react. Finally grabs it, but throws it way over Brock. Looking at the spectacle that is a thrown Potato, I hear a certain Pikachu shout.

"Pika pii!" Pikachu shouts jumping off Ash to save the potato. This in turn makes Ash fall over and hit Dawn who just exited her tent.

'Talk about dramatic.' I thought to myself as I chuckled. I sensed a certain something watching the yellow mouse with sparkles in its eyes.

Dawn getting up starts to fix her hair as we all complemented her. Including the Pokemon for some reason.

"You guys need to tidy up your hair." Dawn tells us while she did a little spin.

"Well I got a cap so no biggie." Ash responds. While putting his hands behind his head, Ash suddenly sees his own Aipom swipe his cap.

"Wait Aipom!" Ash randomly shouts as his cap gets stolen. Ash chasing his own Pokemon, has Dawn and Brock following him for some reason.

Seeing them gone, I started to communicate with Aegislash.

-Take care of Team Rocket please- I told him. I didn't want to deal with them right now, it's the morning for fuck's sake.

I can't believe how persistent they are. Ash only has a perfect IV Pikachu with Volt Tackle. Only worth like 10 million poke dollars.

"Buneary!" The Pokemon shouts as it goes for [Pound], multiple times.

"Piplup, use [Peck]!" Dawn shouts. Piplup dodging Buneary's hits, goes in for a [Peck] which misses. Buneary making some space, using [Ice Beam].

"[Bubble Beam] then dodge Piplup!"

Piplup reacting quickly, uses [Bubble Beam] to negate the [Ice Beam] partially as it dodges the rest of the attack. Buneary not giving up, tries to attack again with [Bounce].

"Okay, now use [Water Gun]!" Dawn commands Piplup. Not wasting any time, Piplup uses a [Water Gun] on Buneary who couldn't move mid air.

*Boom*

Buneary who was now on the floor after getting hit, couldn't move too much and just stood there. Dawn realising this was the chance she wanted, took out a Pokeball and enlarged it.

"Okay go Pokeball!" Dawn says as she throws a Pokeball. The pokeball not missing this time, capture Buneary.

Ding!

"Horray!" Dawn shouts. All of us were cheering her on while she battled. Dawn celebrating her catch with Piplup, starts to pack up our stuff as we would finally get to Jubilife City.

[A/N: Stones are what keeps me down in the basement. So I guess this is another chapter huh, sick]
