Actually Two? (49)

'I shouldn't let their fight keep on going.' I think to myself. They are prideful and strong apex Pokemon who would not easily listen to me. Me swooping in as a third party would not only ruin my "reputation" with the two, but will piss them off when caught.

So I will get Gram to battle both of them to show off his strength.

"Gram garner their attention with [Mean Look]." I order. Swiftly getting off Gram's scarf to give him some space. I walk off to the side near a few boulders in case I need some protection.

"AI!" Gram shouts as it uses [Mean Look] and a little bit of its pressure to get the two Pokémon's attention.

"Me?"

"Go?"

Both Pokemon feeling Gram's crushing pressure immediately set their sights on a 6"0 gold and black sword shield with a red outline.

"Go golem!"

"Meta meta."

The two Pokemon started to have a little back and forth until they suddenly stopped and looked at Gram with a glare. They didn't seem to want to back down even after feeling the overwhelming pressure.

What monsters.

"Now this will be interesting." I mumbled out after seeing Golem and Metagross interact for a few seconds.

They seemed to have teamed up but I'm not sure how far they will go to win. If this was a human battle you better bet they would betray each other, but Pokemon have their prides as well.

"Use [Sunny day]." I command seeing the two Pokemon finally making up their minds. Gram because of his efficiency, effortlessly uses the move and within a second the sunlight turns harsh.

The two Pokemon feeling the heat penetrate their "skin", start to use moves.

"LEMMM!" Golem shouts as it uses [Hyper Beam]. At the same time the shiny Metagross also used a move.

"TAA!"

A shiny grey beam could be seen after Metagross used its move. Gram still in its shield form quickly uses [King's Shield] to negate both attacks.

*Boom!*

'Not bad.' I say to myself seeing the two moves [Hyper Beam] and [Flash Canon] being used. The power in those hits were no joke, but sadly they aren't anywhere close to beating Gram or breaking his shield.

They would need to improve both their powers by 10x before cracking his shield.

Now with both Pokemon presumably either recovering or off guard, I tell Gram to attack.

- 10% [Eclipse Slash] on the gold and white fellow- I tell Gram through our link. Gram due to muscle memory instantly vanishes into the ground instantly, just a second after he reappears above Metagross.

Gram with his eye glowing a golden shade, is currently in his blade form with his body surrounded in dark and ghost type energy.

With the combined moves [Night Slash] and [Shadow Sneak], Gram makes a huge visual dark purple and light purple slash that slams Metagross to the ground .

*Crash* *Crack*

Sadly for Metagross the move was 4x effective so he must be out of commission right now.

Golem realising that his previous opponent was taken out, started to use [Rock Slide]. Gram now being bombarded by quite a lot of boulders, swiftly dodges all of them without much effort.

- [Shadow Sneak] to get behind golem and use 20% [Solar Blade]- I say in our link right after Gram's effortless dodges. Golem not able to react to to speed of Gram, suddenly feels a warm slash hit his left side sending him crashing towards a cliff.

*Boom*

"You didn't hold back enough Gram." I chuckled out. To be fair he did use super effective moves but it still doesn't excuse the one shots much.

-I'm sorry Master, they were just weak- Gram replies making me wince at his non-sugarcoated words. Those two wild Pokemon are "weak" compared to Gram though so I can't really deny it. It's just something about a shiny Metagross fainting that leaves my heart aching.

"Don't worry, you'll be fighting some really strong opponents sooner rather than later." I say with a feral grin. Looking over at Gram, I could see him somehow giving me a questioning look.

-You're doing it again Master, the weird smile- Gram says giving me a deadpan look.

"I must realy be enjoying the life of a trainer right now." I say swaying around. After my little "moment", I took out a Pokeball and used it to catch the Golem.

While for the Ultra ball, it was used on the shiny Metagross.

'I should let my Pokemon roam and battle in these harsh wild areas. This place is perfect to mould them into stronger fighters.' I think looking around. There were plenty of Pokemon spectating the battle and we're keeping a large distance for obvious reasons.

Releasing the rest of my team, I let Slowbro watch guard with his psychic powers and guard my Pokemon who were fighting other wild Pokemon. Gram stayed with me as I still had to make up some plans.

An important bit I'm still thinking about is what classification my Pokemon should have. This is something a trainer can choose to do towards the middle stage powers of a Pokemon.

You can teach it combination moves or just focus on its original set of moves and TMs. Combo moves might seem enticing but there is a reason why the strongest trainers use Original Pokemon without any combo moves.

It's just simpler to power up concurrent moves as it's faster and more efficient. The problem with combo moves are that not every Pokemon would have a talent for it and it takes time for a Pokemon to learn one.

It's not to say it's bad because it's really versatile, but it could overcomplicate a battle and overload a Pokemon when deciding split decision attacks.

A combo Pokemon also uses normal attacks and it will increase their move pool but make it harder for them to remember all their move sets.

It like expecting Golem who is pretty dumb compared to other Pokemon which is a proven fact, to remember all the move combos he has and can use at which times.

I feel like I should make my Chimchar and Alolan Vulpix combo Pokemon and the rest just Original Pokemon.

This could change at anytime though.

After a little bit I decided to spent the rest of the day in the hills and set up camp, with my Pokemon still roaming and Gram protecting me.

With the sun setting, before I could sleep I sent some photos I took to my parents and Dawn. With everything now set, my body started to relax in the sleeping bag.

My consciousness started to fade with my face having a wide smile plastered onto it.

"Good night Gram." I mumbled out.

-Good night Master- He replies but because of me sleeping, I couldn't hear it.
