Chapter 27 Into The Predators’ Layers Part 4

Chun rushed forward to grab Yul's throat, but Yul grabbed her right hand with his left hand and punched Chun right in the chest, causing Chun to stumble towards the tree behind her.

Chun gritted her teeth and conjured her short pike onto her right hand. She smirked at Yul, then lunged forward, swinging her short pike at Yul. Yul quickly drew the dagger from his waist with his left hand, blocking Chun's short pike struck, and at the same time Yuel jumped up and swung his right leg towards Chun's head. Yul kicked Chun in the neck and Chun fell to the ground.

Chun quickly slid behind the tree, and from the other side of the tree appeared the head of a large anaconda, jumped out and attacked Yul. Yul flipped backward quickly, aiming the dagger at Chun's right eye. Yul's dagger pierced Chun's right eye, and Chun roared in pain. Chun let out a loud roar, causing the trees and ground around her to shake violently.

Crawling to safety, Abrafo wasn't sure what was making that terrifying scream, but he knew he couldn't go up to help anyone now because his lower body was still immobilized by the spider's venom. Not only would he risk his own life to go up, but the lives of those up there if they want to escape but must help him, so he continued to crawl back onto the open road as fast as he could with his arms, while the other half of his body dragged behind him.

Michio quickly made his way up. He mutters as he runs, "Yul, you have to hold on until I get there." He runs up the hill as fast as he can.

Asa sat down opposite Hajime and asked, "Hajime-kun, what do you want to eat today?"

Hajime looked down at the table and found a plate of food on the table. He looked at Asa and said with a smile, "I think the food on the table is okay." He reached out to pick up the spoon next to the food plate, but he couldn't pick it up. He tried many times but still no success. He looked up at Asa again.

Asa smiled and asked, "Hajime-kun, what do you want to eat today?"

Hajime remembered that his father had already asked him this question. He stared at Asa, didn't speak, but stood up from the table.

Asa smiled at Hajime and asked, "Hajime-kun, what do you want to eat today?"

Hajime suddenly discovers that whatever is happening is a mirage, created to fool him. He slowly got up from the table and walked out into the street, but the person in the house kept repeating the same question.

Hajime slowly reached into his cross bag and took out his white paper fan. Holding the fan in his right hand, he said, "Sweep away the hypocrisy, leaving only the authenticity." He threw the white paper fan into the air, and the white paper fan magnified. With a sweep, Hajime's surroundings began to change.

The wind began to tear the surrounded house slowly like tearing wallpaper from a wall, and he found himself standing in the middle of a graveyard. As soon as he raised his hand, the paper fan fell into his hand. He looked around and found himself standing in the center of a marked magic circle.

Hajime has read these in his previous life, it is a magic circle for sacrificial offerings, and in history, some tribe sacrificed human beings as offering to satisfy the gods. According to what he saw, the magic circle would not activate without human blood. Hajime walked out of the sacrificial circle slowly, not knowing why he came down suddenly without knowing it. He looked down at the ground and found only his footprints. He knew from the footprints that he had brought him here, but he couldn't remember how he stepped down the hill without knowing it when he should have been up. He slowly withdrew his steps and walked up the mountain.

Hajime approached the forest and saw himself sitting by a tree with his head down, as if he was sleeping. Hajime murmured in surprised, ""What's going on?" He walked forward quickly but bumped directly into a magic wall.

Hajime now knows that Hajime who is sleeping outside the magic wall is the real Hajime, and everything he is experiencing now is just a dream. Hajime hit the magic wall hard. He screamed, "Hajime, get up. Hajime!"

The old woman's giggle sounded behind Hajime, and Hajime hurriedly turned to investigate. He saw a hunchbacked woman in black with a wooden stick giggling at him.

The old woman said, ""Do you think that stepping out of the ritual circle in your dream will really make you leave here?" She pointed to Hajime who was leaning on the tree on the other side and still asleep. "Dreams and reality are two different things." She stared at Hajime with red eyes and continued to laugh.

Hajime looked at his body and the old woman worriedly. He knew he needed to figure something out.

Hearing a scream, the beasts around U-ri looked at each other, and slowly backed away from U-ri. U-ri was slightly relieved to see the wolves leave, but suddenly began to worry again. He was thinking in his heart, if that scream could make the wolves leave, it meant that the person who made the scream was stronger than the combination of the wolves. He tried to look around him, and he saw Abrafo crawling out from the side of the road.

Abrafo looked at U-ri and shouted, "U-ri, come help me quickly."

U-ri looked at Abrafo who was crawling on his elbows far away from him. It occurred to him suddenly that this Abrafo must be another wolf disguised as Abrafo.

U-ri laughed at Abrafo and said, "I won't be fooled. Like I said before, I won't come out to help you. If you want to be safe, you must get into the magic bangle."

Abrafo said madly, "Are you insane? You bastard!" Abrafo suddenly heard a roar. He looked up and saw a wolf staring at him with red eyes from behind a tree on the other side of the road. "Fuck..." He drew his knife. He turned to U-ri, suddenly annoyed to find that U-ri had already sat down and started reading Michio's books. "U-ri!"

U-ri hears Abrafo, but he doesn't care. He read on. "You fooled me once, but you can't fool me twice," he said, looking up at Abrafo. He licked his fingers, turned a page, and continued reading.

Move quickly to the right, avoiding Chun's large tail as it slams into the ground. Chun angrily swept her tail across the ground and aimed at Yul. Yul jumped on a branch quickly, Chun's big body quickly wrapped around the tree, and her head started attacking Yul.

Yul quickly avoids Chun's head, and when Chun's head goes over the other side of the tree trying to surprise Yul, Yul jumps from the branch, uses his two hands to hold his sword, and swing down at Chun's body. Yul's sword strike scraped off some of Chun's scales.

Chun, who was injured by Yul again, let go of the tree and jumped to the ground to continue attacking Yul knowing that she had the upper hand.

Knowing that Chun is toying with him, Yul tries desperately to protect himself. Yul knew that Chun hasn't unleashed her true strength yet, but when the enemy appeared in front of him, it makes no difference for him whether the enemy was fighting or toying with him, he would not let go of the opportunity to strike with all his might. For him, every battle is a fight for his life.

Chun picks up a small boulder with her tail and throws it at Yul. Yul suddenly dodged the boulder. Chun circles around the trees and quickly climbs up the branch, giggling as she looks down at Yul, who is still searching for her.

Chun happily said, "Ah, little mortal, I have lived for thousands of years... I have never met a prey that fights as hard as you... Ah... your will to survive is amazing. I am deeply impressed." She raised her elbows, resting her face on her arm. "So, tell me, why do you want to enter No Man's Land?"

Yul's eyes are still searching for Chun. "It's none of your business," he said.

Chun smiled and said, "I was just thinking, why a mortal like you want to enter No Man's Land. You know, there is a reason why this place is called No Man's land. Even the most powerful mage can't get in nor a god. So, tell me, why do you think you, a mortal, can enter No Man's Land?" She continued to giggle.

Yul said, "Other people's failures are not mine. If others can't do it, it doesn't mean I can't do it." Yul taunted. "You ask me like you've been there yourself but failed to enter. How would you know that I can't enter?"

Chun giggled angrily, her voice echoing beyond the trees. "I know…" she continued to laugh.

Yul said, "You may know more about No Man's Land and understand more than I do, but it doesn't mean what you failed to achieve, I will also fail."

Chun's laughter stopped suddenly. That question Yul just asked her reopened her already healed scarred. She quickly slid her body behind Yul and whispered softly on Yul's neck, "The reason why I became like this and end up in this prison forest is because I entered No Man's Land..."
