Chapter 86 The City Of Warriors Part 22

Thousands of stone soldiers have been wiped out by Bailong and his nine sons, and they found that fewer and fewer soldiers came out from the city gate to attack them. Bailong looked at the single man standing on the city wall, which made Bailong realize that these stone soldiers might keep coming, maybe it was because the man on the city wall was controlling them, so Bailong hurried rushed to the middle of the front gate, raise the sword to his right hand.

Bailong looked at the long sword in his right hand and threw the long sword into the air. The long sword fell to his right hand again and turned into a bow. Bailong quickly summoned a divine arrow and fixed it on the bow.

Bailong murmured, "The arrow of truth destroys all unreal things." He released the magic arrow, the arrow spun and flew into the sky, and shot the man standing on the wall in the middle of the chest, causing the man to slowly evaporate.

The stone soldiers suddenly stopped attacking and froze in place.

Bailong and his nine sons regrouped, summoned their bow and arrows, and started shooting at the stone soldiers.

The people in the middle room watched the door slowly open, staring at a black liquid wall. "What do we do next?" Feng asked.

Ping asked, "Shall we go in or not?"

Yul said, "You came out of this thing, right?"

Chen said, "But who knows if this can bring us back to the other room where the demon is."

Yul said, "Come to think of it, you and the other two could have been tricked into believing that the person you saw was a demon and not your lord. Whoever locked us in these rooms just wanted us to die, so they tricked us into killing each other."

Chen thought for a while and said, "What you said is indeed reasonable, but I swear, I did see a red demon with long horns."

Yul said, "I believe you when you say that."

Chen looked at Yul and said, "You do?"

Yul said, "I saw that Abrafo was eating the flesh of those dead soldiers, but it turned out that it was a mirage to make us start killing each other. So, when you say you think Lixin is a demon, I believe you." He looked at the soldiers. "I'll go first, help carry Abrafo and the other."

Yul drew his sword and stepped into the black liquid wall. He heard the sound of piercing sword coming towards him, and when he opened his eyes, he saw a sword aiming at his throat, so he quickly fought back.

"Lixin," Yul said, striking Lixin's sword away.

"Yul?" Lixin was shocked to see Yul coming out of the dresser. "You...how did you hide in that dresser?"

Yul said, "I'll explain later."

Lixin asked, "Where are the others? And Chen who was tied to the chair?"

Yul said, "They're behind me. He's the one who wrote to you."

Lixin asked, "Are they on the other side?"

Yul said, "Yes."

Chen Yul aside and said, "Captain Yul, since you are here, please help us kill that demon and avenge our lord?"

Yul said, "Listen, from now on, no matter what you think of him, he is your Lord. We have been deceived into believing that our friend is our enemy. Let's get out of here first, I will explain later."

Heng said, "But... I saw with my own eyes that he sucked Lord Lixin's blood and killed Lord Lixin."

Yul sighed and said, "Would you believe me if I told you that I saw Abrafo eating rotting dead human flesh?"

The soldiers' jaw dropped. "What..."

Yul said, "So, for now, don't believe anything you see or hear." He turned to the dresser. "Now everyone can walk through."

One by one the soldiers came out of the dresser. By this time Abrafo and the other soldier were more awake than before, so they sat on the stool while the others stood in the room.

Abrafo said, "Don't lie on that bed."

Lixin looked at Abrafo and asked, "Abrafo... I heard you whispering in my ear that the three soldiers beside me were fake."

Abrafo was shocked at the accusation, he said, "What? I've never said anything like that to you before. We were in the middle room, and I did knock on the wall when we were attacked by two dead soldiers to see if you and your men are in the room beside us. For your information, I did not whisper, I screamed at the top of my lungs."

Yul asked, "Can your door be opened?"

Lixin said, "Yeah, but the dust hasn't subsided yet. It's still too thick to breathe normally."

Yul said, "Subside or not, we have to leave this room."

Abrafo said, "I agree, waiting here is more dangerous than facing that dust."

Yul walks towards the door, opens it, and out of nowhere, a fist hits the side of Yul's left eye and temple, causing Yul to stagger backwards.

Seeing Yul been knocked backward, Abrafo finally came to his senses. "Yul! What the hack!" He lunges forward." "Who the hell hit you?"

Yul rubbed his left eye and shook his head. "I thought I saw Hajime..."

Abrafo was taken aback and asked, "Hajime punched you? Are you sure?"

Yul said, "I'm sure...its Hajime."

Abrafo stood in front of the door. He opened the door wide enough just to stretch out his head. "Hajime! Is that you?" he shouted.

Hajime rubbed his knuckles as Abrafo's voice echoed in the yard. "Abrafo! Abrafo! Where are you?" Hajime shouted.

"I'm coming out, don't hit me!" Abrafo yelled, closed the door, and looked at the other people standing in the room. "I'm going first, so when I open the door, everyone must hold their breath and close the door as soon as I rush out."

"What if something bad is waiting for you on the other side? Like those dead soldiers? Provocation will kill you," Lixin said. "Let's think about this first and find the best solution before taking action."

Abrafo said, "We don't have time right now to sit down and decide which is best. If something happens to me, I will yell. Then you can think of something else." Abrafo opened the door but found that the dust outside the door had frozen still and did not rush into the room. He turns to look at Yul. "Did you see it?"

Lixin opened his eyes wide, and said, "I can't believe it..."

Abrafo rushed into the dust and fell suddenly to the ground. Looking up, Hajime was standing beside the three floating doors.

Hajime helped Abrafo up. "Abrafo, are Yul and Michio with you?" Hajime asked.

Abrafo stood up and wiped the dirt off his buttocks. "Yul and the others are with me. We haven't found Michio yet." He looks at Hajime and giggles.

Hajime asked, "Why are you giggling?"

Abrafo said, "You punched Yul in the eye."

Hajime was startled, "I what? I swear I didn't even see who that person was. I saw a face stretching out of the door suddenly. I was terrified. I didn't see who that person was, so I punched it."

Abrafo shrugged his shoulders and said, "Hey, this is between you and your husband, it has nothing to do with me." He looked at the door. "Hey, jump, don't run."

Lixin and his men jumped from the middle door one by one.

Abrafo asked, "Where is Yul?"

Lixin said, "He's right behind me." He turned to the floating door. "Yul, come down quickly. Hey! Yul!"

They wait for a while, but Yul doesn't respond. Hajime shouted, "Yul!" He turned to look at Abrafo and Lixin. "Something is wrong."

Abrafo said, "That room was supposed to be the safest room, so nothing should have happened."

Hajime said, "Help me up that door. I have to find him."

Lixin grabbed Hajime's right arm and said, "We just came out of that dangerous place, and I won't let you go back."

Hajime said, "Because it's dangerous, that's why I must go back for Yul."

A hand grabs Yul's when Lixin jumps through the door into the dust and Yul is about to leave. Yul turns around to see a young woman in her twenties smiling at Yul. The young woman pointing to the make-up vanity next to the headboard.

Yul walks slowly to the make-up vanity and opens the first drawer; he sees a gold medallion necklace with a woman's face carved into the medallion. Yul picks up the gold medallion necklace, and after taking a closer look at it, the wistful face on the gold medallion looks a bit like the young woman standing in front of him. The young woman took the gold medallion necklace and put the necklace around Yul's neck, smiling at Yul as she slowly disappeared into thin air.

Yul looked at the gold medallion and wondered what he was supposed to do with it. He knew that if the spirit had shown it to him, there must be something important, so he tucked the gold medallion necklace inside his robe and was about to leave when he heard a gentle woman's voice whisper beside his ears.

"The promise has been fulfilled, it's time to let go."

Yul turns around and takes another look at the room. He jumped through the door and landed on the ground in front of everyone.

Seeing Yul standing in front of him, Hajime happily rushed over to hug Yul. "What took you so long?" he asks, pushing Yul's hair aside. "Sorry, I didn't mean to hit you. I hope my punch didn't leave a deep bruise."

Seeing that Hajime was safe, Yul smiled and said, "I'm just checking carefully to see if anyone has been left behind."

Abrafo cleared his throat and said, "Alright, break up the lovely reunion. We still have to find Michio before the old man burns down the mountain at noon today."

Hajime shyly pulled away from Yul and said, "Oh, that man is Baishui's father, and the others are his brothers. They are helping us fight off the stone soldiers at the front gate."

Yul looked at Hajime and asked, "They are family members of Baishui?"

Hajime said, "I will explain later, let's go find Michio first."

"Why can't you leave us alone?" Lan Huan's angry scream made everyone look at the distant building.

Hajime, Yul, and Abrafo said in unison, "Michio!"

The three rushed to the throne hall, Lixin and Lixin's men followed closely behind them.
