A dead body

Abigail had finished packing her bags and had been waiting for Christopher all day, but he had not returned. She had prepared dinner with the hope of eating together.

The clock read 9 p.m.

She became agitated and dialed his number to ask when he was coming back.

Beep…

The phone only rang twice before getting disconnected.

Abigail was perplexed as to why he had disconnected her call. In the meantime, she received his message.

'Don't wait for me. I won't be back tonight. Go to bed early."

"What?" Abigail exclaimed, scowling at the screen.

She remembered him saying that he would be back soon. She was curious about where he went after the important meeting he had gone to.

'When are you going to come back? We have to board the morning flight, remember?'

She quickly typed and pressed the send button. She was worried he would be late and have to cancel the trip.

'I will be on time. Go to the airport. I will be there.'
