Incredible scenery

The cold air stabbed Abigail's lungs as she inhaled it. She stared at the tiny creatures that flickered on and off right in front of her. She gasped and stepped back.

It appeared as if stars had fallen right there and flickered on and off... as if there had been a burst of fire... as if someone had spread golden color in the air.

She rushed over, giggling like a child. She twirled with her arms outstretched on both sides, right in the middle of the swarms of fireflies. Then she cupped her hands around the fireflies in the air. Instead of catching one, she caught empty air.

Abigail did it once again, then again and again… She couldn't catch them. In the end, she sulked and looked at the flies flickering on and off around her.

She was not aware that Christopher was photographing everything with his phone's camera.
