“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Gloria realized that Christopher would never abandon Abigail. No plan could ever keep them apart because she knew how much Christopher adored Alison, whose part was still alive in Abigail. On top of that, she had noticed the affection in his eyes for her for the first time.

Christopher would never let her distance herself from him.
