Rachel’s restlessness

Christopher sat down again with his laptop after returning home.

When Abigail entered the bedroom, she grew annoyed to see him working. She could clearly tell how tired he was.

He was yawning frequently and rubbing his eyes. His face looked drawn. The bags under his eyes indicated a lack of sleep. His slumped posture showed that he needed rest and relaxation to recharge his energy levels, yet he was obstinate enough to work instead of lying down and sleeping.

"Enough is enough," she grumbled and closed the laptop.

"Tsk, what is it? I was about to send an email." He grimaced and opened the laptop, seemingly annoyed.

"You are tired. Can't you realize it? Why don't you just sleep?"

Christopher wanted to counter her. When he observed her troubled expression, his face softened. The corners of his mouth pushed up.

He stretched out to take her right hand in his. "Let me just send a few emails. I promise I will sleep, but…"
