“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Abigail shook his hand in a trance.

Jasper had mentioned "Prestige Concierge" several times, saying that it was one of the top concierge farms and that he wanted to take his company to that level. This company was well-known for its affluent customers and luxurious services.

She was still unable to believe the head of the recruitment department of the company had approached her.

"Abigail, I couldn't help but notice your incredible work tonight," he said as he held out his business card. "We are always on the lookout for exceptional talent like yours, and I would love to talk to you about a potential opportunity with our company."

Abigail felt a surge of excitement mixed with apprehension. It would be a dream come true if she worked for a top-level company, but she was also committed to Jasper and didn't want to betray his trust.

"I'm flattered, thank you," Abigail said, accepting the card. "But I need to think about it."
