Abigail is missing.

The sound of tires screeching echoed as Eddie quickly slammed on the brakes to avoid a collision with the van that was careening toward their car. Abigail's hands instinctively reached for the dashboard as she let out a piercing scream. The van missed them by a whisker, but Eddie's car ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

Eddie's heart was pounding in his chest, and he was struggling to catch his breath. His hands were tightly gripped on the steering wheel, and his face was etched with dread. He looked around, and his eyes landed on Abigail, who was holding her head with her eyes closed.

Eddie realized she had hit her head on the window.

"Abigail, are you okay?" he asked worriedly, unbuckling his seatbelt.

Abigail was feeling dizzy. She blinked her eyes open. Because her vision was fuzzy, she closed them again.

Eddie reached for the water bottle. "Drink some water…"
