Lurking danger

Abigail smiled, a renewed sense of purpose settling within her. She knew that the journey ahead would be fraught with challenges, but she would hold fast to her faith in Christopher, in their love, and in the unbreakable bond of their family.

With a mixture of gratitude and determination, Abigail embraced Maria.

"Thank you, Mamma," she said quietly.

Maria also smiled and caressed her hair.

Abigail looked at her, squeezing her hands. "I will not lose my faith in Christopher. I will wait for him. He will come to find me, right?"

Maria gave a feeble nod.

Abigail grinned widely. "Yes… He cannot forget about me. He must be looking for me. I know him. He loves me."

Maria nodded reassuringly.

Abigail was full of hope. She had never smiled so much ever since she had been locked here. She was hoping to get out of there and find a way to contact Christopher.

"Thank you, Mamma." She thanked her once more and hugged her.
