“What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm.

Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Christopher was not surprised in the least. He knew they would react this way. But something pricked his heart as he watched them stand against him. The scene was too familiar to him, and he couldn't understand why they always opposed the lady he chose to date.

He couldn't help but be disappointed, even though his relationship with Vivian was fake.

"Why are you always against the woman I like?" he asked. "First, it was Alison. Then, it was Abigail. And now, it's Vivian. Why can't you just accept that I'm in love?"

"We are not against you," Adrian said. "We are just worried about you. We don't want you to fall into trouble."

"We don't want you to rush into something just to distract yourself from the pain," Gloria added, her voice wavering with concern and guilt.

"It's not about rushing or distractions," Christopher said. "I want to find happiness again. Vivian makes me happy, and I won't let you dictate who I can be with. Why can't you support me?"
