Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered.

"Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." 

He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute.

“Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?”

His silence was the clear answer.

Abigail regarded him with trepidation, her hands gripped tightly in her lap. The growing silence added to her dread.

Sebastian nodded slowly after some time.

Abigail felt a wave of chill wash over her. She reflected on Britney and how she had followed her advice. She had never suspected that Britney was so dangerous and capable of such heinous crimes.

Abigail shuddered. She couldn't believe that this was happening.

"Britney didn't think of you as a thread until Christopher had started developing feelings for you. The moment she realized he had fallen for you, she tried to hurt you. But I found out you were my long-lost daughter. She kept asking me to take you away from Christopher since then," Sebastian said slowly.
